Which do you think is better, a relaxing holiday or a holiday with lots of activities? Why? (2018 N(T))

This question really resonates with me because I am passionate about traveling. Nothing excites me more than exploring new places.

In my opinion, I think a holiday with lots of activities is better because of the variety of benefits it offers. An important benefit is that it enables me to interact with local people and understand more about their cultures. If I were to choose a relaxing holiday, I might find myself cooped up at the resort most of the time and not forge any new friendships. Also, a jam-packed holiday lets me gain fresh insights into foreign cultures because I can visit historical landmarks or take part in local festivals. I feel that this gives me more value for money. 

However, I recognise that some people might want to take things slow and get a respite from the stresses of everyday life. I think ultimately people should travel intentionally in a way that rejuvenates their spirit.
