In these days Bitcoin climbed over the $ 11,000 threshold. I thought these bullish movements are a good sign to put Bitcoin into my BTC earning account on Bitwala (4,51 % annual interest). I'm using this Bitwala BTC account to save small amounts like 100-200 € per month. I try to put BTC there at the beginning or at the end of a month. The idea is to profit from a cost averaging effect and of course from an increasing BTC price.
Last friday I wanted to save 200 € in Bitcoin. Bitwala is also a bank account. That makes it easy to transfer money from my mainly used bank account to Bitwala and convert it into Bitcoin. You only have to tranfer your Bitcoin from your Bitwala wallet to your Bitwala earning account which is very easy. Just choose the amount of Bitcoin you want to save and confirm the transaction with your wallet password. Here the mobile app suddendly didn't work. Everytime the app asked me to type in the wallet password it said: "Missing parameter: password". The transaction failed. I was afraid my password was wrong. I checked it. I had it written down on a piece of paper. I repeated the process and typed in the right password, and again: "Missing parameter: password". I was really afraid now, because Bitwala's wallet passwords can't be recovered.
I contacted the support center and sent them a screenshot. To my suprise I recieved an answer very quickly. The Bitwala support said that they were working on an update which can be downloaded now. So I went to Google Playstore and updated my Bitwala app. It worked. My wallet password was finally accepted again. I have to say "Thank You!" to Bitwala's customer support service. In my opinion they reacted fast and professional.
