But what is the super pink moon? And when can we see it?

The supermoon is a phenomenon that occurs when a full moon reaches its closest position to Earth, making it look brighter and larger than a normal full moon, meaning the Moon orbits around Earth at almost the same plane as Earth orbits around the Sun. That means, when the Sun appears highest in the sky, the full Moon in front of our nearest star is generally at its lowest point in the sky.
