Why is Trezor giving these away? Simply put, they have developed newer, more modern devices over the years. That said, these older models remain excellent and will continue to receive firmware updates until 2036.
TREZOR MODEL T AND MODEL ONE VIA COINGECKO (FREE)
There are two ways to get them and you could even claim more than two. The first option is through CoinGecko. If you live in Europe (excluding the UK, I believe) and have at least 300 "candies", you can get a code to claim both devices for free. The only cost you’ll need to cover is shipping. There are still 106 and 5,770 devices left (Model T is redeemed quickly). If you have to choose just one (otherwise you will have to place two separate orders and pay shipping costs twice), I recommend the Trezor Model T.
If you don’t have enough candies, you can log in daily; it should take about 7 days to reach the 300 candies. Even if you don’t live in Europe, I still recommend collecting them, as you can often find interesting rewards (including airdrops, ebook, etc). I’ve been accumulating them for years, hoping that CoinGecko would launch a $GECKO token, though that hasn’t happened yet.
