Invisible Friends is one of my favorite NFT projects. They were drawn and animated by Markus Magnusson, a Swedish boy founder of Typical Friends. They are part of Random Character Collective: the internet's friendliest animator collective. Other projects launched are MoodRollers, SlimHoods and IronPawGang.
Naturally my favorite project is Invisible Friends. Today the floor price on Opensea, also due to the bear market, has dropped to around 1.20 ETH. In 2022, Invisible Friends donated more than $1.2 million to charities: $104,500 to UNICEF USA (for the crisis in Ukraine), $108,000 to TeamTrees and a coalition for the homeless. In all, 13 entities benefited from these donations, including hospitals, Red Cross, anti-violence and anti-pollution associations.
In November 2022, Invisible Friends holders were able to mint their Invisible Friends 3D created by Nguyen Nhut. Both Invisible Friends and Invisible Friends 3D have a supply of 5000 NFT. Invisible Friends has brought many benefits to its holders: both merchandising and whitelisting. One of the perks of owning Invisible Friends 3D is players arriving in the coming months of 2023.
The collaboration between Ronnie Fieg (CEO of Kith) and Markus Magnusson saw the birth of Kit Friends. The holders of these NFT received the physical products worn by their Kit Friend. The special edition of Kith Friends is also available for Invisible Friends holders, who are the only ones able to claim all the products of the Kith collection in February 2023. The garments will be released in 3 different editions with varying colors and sizes.
GARBAGE FRIENDS
A collection that starts with great hype and FOMO that will always be released by Markus Magnusson is Garbage Friends: hot trash for the metaverse. The overall supply is not known, surely there will be more than 5000 because on their website it is stated that 1 Invisible Friends gives the right to 1 Garbage Friends, in a 1:1 ratio. Invisible Friends are 5000 so there will be at least 5000 Garbage Friends. However, we read that other whitelists will also be given.
I am very bullish on this project because all those born under the Invisible Friends brand have never been disappointing. Another very positive thing is the community that seems very close to me. Magnusson's art is spectacular. The idea of Invisible Friends is something different from the whole NFT panorama that we know recycles ideas a lot (how many bored ape do we have? Then there were gorillas, penguins, etc. Also the art of Japanese Anime like Azuki was copied from dozens of projects, the same goes for that of Doodles. The art of Invisible Friends is not replicable because in fact the characters do not have a body: they are invisible! I think that even Garbage Friends will not disappoint us... In my opinion this could be one of the hottest and "dirtiest" collections of 2023.
Many contests have been created on their Twitter pages to receive the Garbage Friends whitelist. The latest idea is the Garbage University where it is possible to register, receiving a Soulbound Token (which it is not possible to trade or move). A Soulbound Token is similar to an NFT, only it cannot be traded/transferred, unlike NFT. Why? Because it is linked to your soul (as the name itself says).
