In this post i want to tell you about my experience with the crypto markets in the last 2 weeks.
On January 7 i sold a small token i had on bitfinex, so i decided to buy some more Tezos to add to my position. At the time it was at around 1.27$.
So i put a series of orders at 1.26, 1.25, 1.22, 1.18 and 1.15, hoping to catch a wick down or average down in case of another dump (the coins was going down for a few days after reaching 1.80$). My first order was filled very quickly, with a wick down to 1.2551 and then bitcoin started to move up and $XTZ went up to almost 1.40$ before ranging for a few days between 1.27 and 1.35.

Then on January 16, i decide to put a new bigger order but i made the same mistake again! Price was around 1.31, i set my order at 1.295 and a few hours after Tezos started to pump with me on the sidelines...

Now 5 days after $XTZ is at 1.53 and my orders are still open, with a small chance to get filled.
So what do you think? If you're a long term trader/investor and not a day trader, is it smart to put many small orders at lower prices, or is better to just market buy when you decide to open a position on a coin?
Let me know in the comments!
Cheers!
