Trading can be of the best skills in the world, But it can also be a nightmare if you start the wrong way, Most beginners lose money not because the market is too hard, But because they repeat the same avoidable mistakes. After seeing traders blow accounts over and over (Including myself at the beginning) Here are the 5 biggest mistakes you should avoid .
1. Trading without a clear plan, most beginners open trades based on: vibes, emotions, random signals, what they saw on social media. Without a plan you are gambling.
A trading plan should cover: Your strategy, Risk per trade, Entry & Exit, When to trade and when not to trade. If you dont control your plan the market will control you.
2. Risking too much on one trade, This is the fastest way to blow your account, Beginners risk: 10%...., 20%..... or sometimes the entire account. One bad trade can wipe you out.
A safer rule is ✔: 1-2% risk per trade, if you want to flip a small account, use a structured plan, not blind risk. Risk management is your real strategy
3. Chasing the market (FOMO), the fear of missing out destroys more accounts than bad strategies, you see a candle flying - you jump in, then the market reverses and hits your stop-loss, patience beats fomo everytime, if you missed a trade, wait for the next one. The market will still be here tomorrow.
4. Not using stop loss, Many beginners think : Let me just watch it, it will come back...., it rarely does. A stop loss is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of discipline, protect your account like your life depends on it, because in trading, it does
5. Trading based on emotions, Every beginner struggles with: Fear, Greed, Revenge trading, Over confidence after a win, the market doesn't care about how you feel, once your emotions take over, your analysis becomes useless, your strategy becomes invisible, your account becomes vulnerable. The more emotional you are, the faster you lose.
Final thoughts: These mistakes looks simple, but they are the difference between. Traders who survive and traders who blow account after account, Avoid them early and your journey becomes easier.
