I call it a Tower as the end product is literally taller than me by just a notch.

Ha! Technically it’s a neat, elegant piece of cat furniture, and for a cat it maybe similar to what a sofa is for humans.

What would this Cat product be … as the picture shows it’s a cat tree.

My Earlier Cat Tree Assembly Experience – A Puzzle I could not solve

Generally, cat merchandise should be designed to engage cats, but this cat tree in its initial unassembled form was like a puzzle game for me.

Rewinding back 2 years ago, I could not assemble Skatrs mini-sized cat tree I ordered from Supertails website.

Sensing my struggle in assembling that little tree, the Skatrs representative sent home a fully assembled cat tree, in exchange for the imperfectly assembled, wobbly cat tree of mine.

That cat tree still holds strong and is shifted into Mochu’s enclosure!

Yet, I again dared to order a Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree that is way taller than the earlier one

I hoped that the cat tree serves as a cool cat tower abode for my cats living indoors in a treeless house.

This was my effort in enriching their space so it nourishes their cat spirit engaging their cat mana; their instincts. This is essential for happy, satisfied pet cats.

This cat tree appeared well-structured to engage both my cats’ spirit.

The elegant cat furniture had multi-level platform floors for cats to jump their style to higher spots. They can chill be perching in the open spots or crawl to rest in enclosed spaces when they want to go into do not disturb me incognito mode.

The cat tree is also fun for cats as the poles are rope bound – so cats can exercise pursuing their stretching and scratching activity.

Just like tree has a fruit, Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree has a dangling toy, inviting cats to meddle and engage themselves in self-play.

Furthermore, there is room to place other cat toys on multi-level platform surfaces of the cat tree

So, a bored cat can find cat activities to do on the cat tree – jump up, chill, sleep, fiddle, play.

This is why I felt this cat tree is equipped to be an enriching space for my cats.

Cat Tree Delivery Difficulty – a heavy weight even before the assembling challenge began

However, I was uncertain if I can assemble the cat tree, for me this task was like how building a building would be for a civic engineer.

The Cat Tree parcel itself arrived with some hiccups.

The delivery person said the package was too heavy to lift and bring it up my home situated at the 4th floor so he won’t deliver it that day, and urged me to tell the delivery company that I was not at home. I did as he said.

But the next day, he did not arrive, because I was not able to attend his call, I was out. The next, next day he calls in the evening, and tells me to come down to the gate, he will leave the package down.

Fortunately, he can’t get away keeping the package at the gate as he needed closure from me. I had the delivery OPT code that I am to share with him only if the product is delivered to me, else his delivery would not be marked as complete.

So, I asserted myself this time telling him that he has to deliver the parcel at my door step, because then only will I close his delivery task sharing the OTP.

Finally, the man came in the night, puffing with this box keeping it outside the door. As I tried lifting it, he said, it's heavy drag it.

That day I did not even have the strength to drag the box, so the delivery person thankfully dragged the box inside for me, it was moved and placed in a corner.

As I looked at the box, I felt this was not a good start for task ahead of planting that cat tree, the final product. It seemed like an arduous task for me,

In the days ahead I opened the box, and peeked at its contents, there was no installation manual.

So, I emailed Supertails support, the Pet E-commerce portal from where I ordered the Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree and asked them to sent me the installation manual.

A Skatrs representative contacted me – asking me to give the exact Cat Tree category so he can send the correct Product Manual. I sent him the link of Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree product and he sent me a digital installation manual on wats up.

This done – I was equipped to begin the process of assembling Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree.

Still, I felt uncertain on whether I would be able to assemble the Cat Tree successfully.

Beginning Stages of Assembly – had me organize the overall assembly Setup

One evening, I dragged the box and removed all the components of the cat tree. It had serial numbered slab platforms, serial numbered poles, Bolts and screw types.

Will these pieces be assembled and become a Cat Tree - was doubtful at first!

And guess what! At the rock bottom of the box was the physical instruction manual! Unbelievable!!

I spent time checking if all screws, and cat tree parts were there.

The problem was – it was not perfect. Some parts were numbered differently, the poles – I found out that one pole was extra of the same dimension of another pole with a different number but same dimension.

Now, I had a physical manual, and a digital manual. I used the physical copy to mark off missing screws, discrepancies in part details etc.

After sorting the cat tree components as advised by ChatGPT who I consulted before embarking on this Cat tree assembly exercise, I began the task.

Finally Action – Assembling of Cat Tree Begins!

The task involved taking the corresponding platform slab according to serial number, fixing the correct screw type on the platform holes and then fixing the corresponding pole identified by its serial number on to the screws. I remember I struggled fixing the pole tightly with the screw.

Only once I had to remove fixed pole from the screw as the forming foundation was not catering to accommodate the next level setup as that step was done erroneously fixing wrong pole.

Later, I realized that screwing and unscrewing of poles should be done with the provided allen key. It was a tool that helps in fixing screws tightly with the poles. As it acts like a screw driver, driving the screws into the poles through rotating movements.

However, I had already finished installing many levels of cat tree rotating poles to the screws on platform by hand.

If I had started assembling poles parts using allen key – I would have spent less physical effort in the assembly process.

It was like I completed a task putting more effort and time when I could have used AI tool to execute some processes faster and more efficiently.

Successfully, built the Cat Tree assembling its Parts! Hurray!

Everything began to fit in and set layer by layer.

I was successfully assembling Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree, step by step following the instruction manual.

I eventually, got immersed into the task and began assembling the parts without the weight of hesitation I had before.

As levels build – the structure was growing beautifully and my cats explored the growing heights.

Each section of the Cat tree, was like a room. They were installed part by part following similar process of - fixing the screw into the platform holes, installing the poles correctly and then installing the next platform board on top of the pole.

Finally to crown the final section of the cat tree castle – the last section forming top floor of cat tree, I had to step on stool.

Now the Cat Sapling is growing up into a Fun Cat Tree for Garu!

I finished assembling Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree and Garu proudly stood at the Top showing off his height. This marked a milestone, as Garu endorsed the Cat Tree standing at the TOP, above 5 ft in height!

A Satisfying Success – I Built the Cat Tree I Wasn’t Sure I Could Assemble

I was glad I could assemble Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree, on my own, solo. This endeavour to assemble a 5 Ft cat tree, was a brave attempt for me. So, after assembling I could not help having a sense of pride in accomplishing this task, when I felt I won’t be able to assemble it.

My cat Mochu hangs out at this cat tree, sitting, sleeping, using various scratching spots in the tree. He often climbs on top of the Mushroom capped short pole at the Base Floor of the Cat tree to bend and scratch.

A furniture that lets him sit at a height rather than ground level because cats are meant to explore heights – it’s in their instinct.

People said, the cat tree was very elegant and is a good addition for a home with cats, one even joked saying he is convinced he lives in a poor home, because he don’t think his house is tall enough to accommodate that heighty cat tree(:

Credit to Skatrs for designing this well-thought-out product – not only in the aspect of catering to cats taste, but also a product where its pieces are designed to add up to become a whole cat tree.

This product was a puzzle piece that when solved turns into an elegant Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree.

Success Story – as Cat Tree serves well for my cats!

For me assembling Skatrs Cloud Nine Cat Tree solo was an achievement. Beyond that my cats enjoy hanging out on the cat tree. So all my efforts in assembling the cat tree were worth it!

I shared my excitement of having assembled the cat tree – sharing pictures of the proudly standing cat tree with others. Everyone said the cat tree looked beautiful, and I felt that I had done a good job!

But I cannot convey the backstory behind my struggles assembling that cat tree with shared photos alone. That’s why I have written this article.

So, along with the photos, my assembly story adds another dimension to the article and conveys the special reasons why this cat tree holds relevance to me.
