My story with browsers is one of constant change: from Safari to Chrome, from Chrome to Firefox, from Firefox to Opera, from Opera to Safari…
Although I went from one to another for reasons of compatibility, speed, usability … one of the main causes for changing browsers was privacy: when browsing different web pages I was always bombarded with a multitude of ads.
The loading of a web page could be slowed down by the fact of loading numerous ads before displaying the information you wanted, not to mention the constant page breaks that occurred when one ad or another appeared.
The discovery of Brave
It was a few months ago, as a result of my introduction to the world of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies, that I discovered Brave.
Brave is a free browser that has been developed by Brave Software, Inc. company, which is based on Chromium, and has a reward policy based on the BAT (Basic Attention Token) token.

But more importantly, it is capable of blocking ads, malware, and trackers.

In addition, at all times you have the ability to activate Brave’s protection shield, simply by accessing the icon with its logo on the right side of the navigation bar.

As we use Brave, the browser’s main page shows the trackers and blocked ads, the bandwidth saved, and the time saved.

Brave rewards you for using it
Brave allows you to obtain rewards in the form of BAT tokens in two different ways:
- The first option is to get small contributions from brave users who visit our website (if we have one). But for this we must register in Brave as publishers.
- The second way is to see ads (for which we give permission), which arrive in the form of a notification to our computer (in addition, as the type of advertisement we see is determined locally on our computer, according to our browsing history, it is not necessary an external follow-up to know what can be shown to us).
The BAT that we earn is transferred to an Uphold wallet. For this, we must register and identify ourselves on this platform, and then link it to Brave.

Conclusions
Brave, apart from being able to earn a certain amount of BAT, allows us to control whether or not we want to see ads on the web pages we visit. It is worth a try.
If you like this world and you want to know how I evolved in it: Stay tuned!
Thanks and see you soon.
