This week's Community Engagement Challenge will be about Survival Mode Battle Strategy, where we'll explore the strategies that Survival Mode players have been using in this high-risk/high-reward mode. We'll explore why players have been participating in this new mode if there's a chance that their cards will be defeated and go on cooldown in every battle. We'll also see what their strategies have been regarding their cards to use in Survival and the impacts that have been happening on the Card Marketplace. Come find out more!

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

Great Rewards in SPS!

Before we get into the strategy and the impact that has been happening on the card market, it is important to start with “WHY” a Splinterlands player who until now was concerned with having only a Deck of cards would be interested in playing Survival. After all, it is a complete change for the player, who now runs risks that he was not exposed to in other game modes.

According to a post by JeffOpensCards on Twitter, we can see that he at ranked 2080 earned an incredible 124.48 SPS per win in Survival, which at the current SPS rate works out to $0.75 per win. When compared to the 5-10 SPS per win in Modern or Wild, at this rating, the 124 is enough reason for a player to be interested in at least learning a little more about Survival.

Jeff also shared an interesting insight for new Survival players, which is to aim for a rating of 260 to start at the higher rank in the next season, without having to work hard to reach it again. This way, you start in the Bronze League with more relevant rewards, remembering that the more you continue to evolve, the more you can reach a rating of 2080.

This could be a good opportunity due to the level of rewards, especially since not many players are participating in this new mode. According to Jeff, as of March 4, there were only 338 players with a rating of over 100 (5 wins). This is because until now they have focused on only one copy of each card at a high level and if they play survival without a strategy they will be left without cards to play the other modes Wild and Modern. But don't wait too long, because they have started a strategy in the card market...

Card Market Strategy of High Level Players!

There is a set of tips that have been widely publicized by players and even by the Splinterlands guide, such as creating Sets for Wild/Modern and removing the option to play survival from them, creating new sets with extra BCXs to use in Survival Mode. Furthermore, since it is a new game mode, strategies are still being explored, and it is necessary to experiment with cards, combinations, quantities and levels to know which cards are really necessary for this game mode. However, some cards have already started to see a big increase in their price, such as the Almo Cambio released by OneNation on X, which had its price per BCX increase from $5 to almost $30, making it 6x a few days after the launch of Survival Mode.

In addition to Almo, another card that received a relevant mention was Lux Vega, a summoner with very relevant stats, +1 Speed, +1 Defense and +1 HP. In Dejota's post he shows 5x copies of Summoner that will probably be used in Survival Mode, showing that high-level players have been looking for more cards to prepare for this new mode, because as the name suggests the most important thing is to see who will survive until the end and for that it is necessary to have more summoners and units available.

Also, these cards need to be good and in the case of Lux Vega, as it is an extremely versatile summoner due to being a Neutral element and there are only 985 cards created, with only 2 on the market, it made Lux go from $200 to almost $1000.

It is interesting to note what kind of insight can be extracted from these two observations made by OneNation and Dejota. When we look at the Set Value chart for the Untamed collection, we see that there has been a significant demand in recent days and that in the case of Almo and Lux, the Defense and Sustain factors were very relevant. Thus, it is quite possible that the strategy of high-level players is to accumulate cards with these characteristics in greater quantities and, in their case, at a high level as well, causing the price of the cards to rise significantly in the short term.
