Splinterlands - strategy and poison.jpg

In this splinterlands community engagement challenge with a Battlefield Breakdown theme, the objective is to talk in detail about a match in which there were points that might surprise players. So, let's talk about a ranked match that had two ruleset limitations and that thanks to the set of units and a little poison damage, victory was guaranteed without any problems.

Let's start by talking about the details of the match, then about the strategy and combos on both sides. Finally, we'll finish by sharing a key moment of the match which was the elimination of the biggest threat and also talk about how to get the key card for this combo.

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

Match Details: Rulesets, Elements…

The first point before addressing the strategy part and the combos used, it is interesting to understand the context of the match, analyzing its details, such as the rules of combat, the available elements, and the mana limit. All of this is important to understand the reasons why the units were chosen and their positions.

In this game, the first detail is that all the elements were available to be chosen, so there was no limitation regarding the elements. Regarding mana, the amount was a little above average, with 35 mana available to choose the units and the summoner, which is interesting.

However, it was in the rules that the change really happened because in Four's a Crowd, the number of units was limited to 4, which means that stronger cards are chosen to use all the mana. But there was one more rule that further restricted the issue of units available to choose from. The Need for Speed rule limits choices to units that have a minimum of 3 speed.

Based on the details of the match presented previously, we know that the match will consist of a summoner and 4 other units, which will have a considerable amount of mana, and will also be fast. So, as speed is never too much, the summoner's choice was Kelya Frendul to increase the speed of my units a little more by +1. The interesting thing is that it will also protect units against melee and ranged damage thanks to its +1 shield, which came in handy since two opposing monsters were melees.

On the midfield, the strategy was very simple. Having one of the best tanks available, Commander Slade, who has incredible stats - 4 melee damage, 5 speed, 9 hp and 6 shield - which will be buffed by Kelya, and having a solid attack that starts with Noa The Just reducing the opponents' armor by -2, freeing up space for my two monsters with Opportunity, Kulu Mastermind and Deeplurker, to deal as much damage as possible to units that have less HP.

On the opposing side, his strategy was to mix some magical damage with Shock Trooper and Night Reaper, which was very interesting since my defense focused more on physical damage. But the two highest DPS had less HP and were targeted by my two Opportunity monsters. His tank, the Giant Alpine Skink, which would be a big problem to defeat due to the shield ability that reduces physical damage by 50%, was well resolved because he lost the study and was one of the last to be focused on.

Battle x Key Moments!

The best thing about my units with Opportunity was defeating the opposing monster that had bloodlust at the beginning. This is because if these monsters survive and start stacking bloodlust when finishing my cards, they end up becoming a big problem since their statuses all go up +1. In round 2 he was already defeated with the poison eliminating this serious threat from the start. Furthermore, my commander slader has already started reducing Alpine's damage by 1 damage. Overall, Deeplurker's Poison composition and damage ensured the victory.

How to get the key cards?

In the end, some players may be curious about what needs to be done to get the key cards of this water element team composition that was used in the match. In Splinterlands itself you can find each of the cards mentioned above, and there are also other marketplaces like Peakmonsters where you can also find them, with even more details and other information displayed.

The main card used in the strategy and which all Splinterlands players must have is mainly the Summoner. After all, without it it is not possible to “summon” any other unit in the match and the level of your cards are limited according to the level of your summoner. In this case, the one used is Kelya Frendul, which today has a price per BCX of $0.072 with the cheapest card being sold, having level 4 which allows you to summon half the levels of the max level and costing $1.798.

Kelya is a great summoner for players, because she guarantees protection against melees and ranged attacks with her +1 shield, and also allows units to attack first and have a greater chance of dodging thanks to +1 speed. It's good to pay attention because there are usually some price jumps on the cards. If you search for example, the value of a single unit will be $0.135
