What are Conclave Arcana Conflicts?
Following the success of the Rebellion Conflicts, the Arcana Conflict Conclave is here to replicate the success. It's a 30-day event starting on July 16th, where players will stake items such as cards and packs in Battle Wagons to earn points and receive airdrop rewards based on the number of points earned.
However, as similar as it may be, Conclave Arcana Conflict has new mechanics, as the set introduces new card types to Splinterlands, bringing with it more complexity and the need to think ahead about a winning strategy.
Some details of Conclave Arcana are important to consider, such as the capabilities of Battle Wagons. Depending on the number of cards and packs, you'll need more or less Battle Wagons. Regarding the rewards, which is what players are most interested in, the impact of points and their accumulation is crucial.
Every 100,000 points a player earns through Battle Wagon stakes counts as one entry into the Conflict airdrop, guaranteeing a 0.125% chance. In other words, you need 800 entries to get a card from the airdrop with a 100% chance. Note that every 25 cards guarantees one gold foil, and using alchemy and midnight potions increases the chances.
How to prepare for Conclave Conflicts?
The first step is to consider how many Battle Wagons you'll need, depending on how many cards and packs you have or plan to acquire. Each Battle Wagon can accept 5 cards and 100 packs from Rebellion or Conclave Arcana as stakes. While Battle Wagons accept Rebellion cards and packs, it's important to note that the points from the Rebellion collection are much lower.
I believe we can say the points are half the cards and half the pack points of the smallest Conclave Arcana pack, the Standard. One difference is that because there are more rarities and types of packs, the Alchemy Pack is worth 300 points and the Legendary Pack is worth 600 points, meaning 3x and 6x more than the Standard pack, or 6x and 12x the Rebellion pack.
Knowing this information, the player will plan how many Battle Wagons will be needed to craft—40,000 Wood, 10,000 Stone, 4,000 Iron, and 2.5,000 Aura—to avoid spending more than necessary. After all, the resources used are valuable and can be exchanged in GameFi available throughout the Splinterlands lands. Interestingly, it makes these resources useful, as the Wagon kit will also be available for direct sale on the marketplace, currently selling for $5.79.
A detail that ensures some sustainability for the Wagon system is that for each airdrop letter a player receives, one of their wagons is damaged, requiring the same resource cost to repair it, creating a constant demand for the wagon-building courses. Between each conflict, there is a preparation period that is key to making preparations. Use this time to make repairs and adjust your battle wagons for the next conflict.
