Splinterlands - Review make the Perfect Deck.jpg

Many wonder what the best way to achieve more wins in Splinterlands is... In my opinion, the path involves constantly reviewing the player's deck, analyzing what is working and what is not. In addition, a famous tip is to focus on fewer elements to extract the maximum from the cards and not be a generalist. Finally, when selling unused cards and looking for better cards for your Splinterlands deck, make the most of your bids. Check it all out!

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

Reviewing the Most Used Cards

The path that players aiming to become stronger and achieve "power" in Splinterlands should follow is closely related to constantly reviewing their deck. Revising a Splinterlands deck is somewhat similar to forging a sword, as you may have seen in movies, where you heat iron to extremely high temperatures and then hammer that hot iron to remove imperfections and impurities, so that the sword retains its essential minerals and the final result is a perfect sword, in its best possible form and structure.

The analogy of reviewing cards with a sword is that you should periodically, perhaps monthly, analyze which of your least used cards. You will be surprised to discover that some cards don't even appear once during two 14-day seasons, which is the number of seasons that occur in a month. Once these rarely or never used cards are identified, it's important to check if any of them, even if rarely used, have a high win rate. If this is identified, it's necessary to observe if these cards were responsible for the victory. Cards that are rarely used and have a low win rate are the "imperfections" of the deck that should be removed to make room for improvements.

Removing these cards doesn't mean you'll "burn" them or that they'll rise in value. Because they are NFTs, you can list them on the marketplace and in a few days they should already be DEC. With the money obtained from selling the cards, the goal now is to analyze which elements and summoners are most used and identify which cards from those elements can be improved to make the core of your deck even stronger. I recently did something similar and realized that the "core" of my deck was the water, death, and earth element cards, and a bit of dragon that acts as a wild card.

Focus on 3+ Best Elements

I remember a very famous tip for new Splinterlands players was to focus on a few elements because, since the prices of NFT cards were so high, building a complete deck with all the elements was a difficult task, making this strategy viable for the player to participate with some relevance in matches.

However, unlike other card games where you build a single deck and always use the same strategies, Splinterlands is different. Focusing on just one element and hoping to always use the same cards isn't possible in Splinterlands. This is because in Splinterlands matches, one of the main points is that usually not all elements are available to be used, which would mean that a player who focuses on one or two elements might have matches where they don't get a chance to play and lose more often.

However, when focusing on 3 elements, the probability of none of the elements being unavailable is quite low. Nowadays it's even easier to follow this strategy because you have dual-element summoners and neutral summoners available. But, analyze carefully because it might be more advantageous to pick a single-element summoner.

In this sense, another tip is to choose elements that have distinct strategies. Have one summoner/element more focused on magic damage, another more defensive with a shield, and another more focused on melee damage. This way, you'll have options to handle most situations. For magic damage, we have Obsidian; for melee, we have Tarsa or Kelya; and for debuffs, magic damage, and melee damage, we have the Death element, which is also a wildcard. It's useful to have a dragon summoner to broaden your options and avoid going into a match without an available element, because at least the dragon can choose an element and use the cards.

Use the BID tool

The cost of something is very important because you will carry that value until the moment you sell it, so the usefulness of a card in terms of cost-benefit depends largely on how much you paid for it. Therefore, use the BID tool when making your revisions and when improving your cards.

Depending on the card you're looking for to make your deck the best it can be, the price difference between the BCX (Buy by Card) and the BID (Buy by Card) can be very high, sometimes almost 50%, which justifies waiting a little longer and looking for the cards in the BID. You can see that in these 3 example summoners, the price is twice as expensive in the Low by than in the BID.
