Why I'm Trying to Get as Many Soulbound Cards as I Can

In the last post I wrote about Splinterlands, I talked about my recent card purchases from the Chaos Legion set, the first "paid" set where I managed to build up a fairly solid and assorted collection.

One aspect not to be underestimated when playing Splinterlands, however, are also the sets that can be obtained simply by playing.

There are currently two such sets:

• the Gladius set, whose cards can be obtained by playing brawls;

• the Rewards Soulbound set, whose cards can be found in daily and seasonal chests.

The peculiarity of both of these sets is that the respective cards cannot currently be bought on the market, but must be unlocked by playing.

This is the main reason why, even when I decided to focus on brawls only, I chose to buy a bot to play for me in the Wild format.

Unlocking as many Soulbound cards as possible is in fact one of the fundamental pillars of my strategy on Splinterlands, as in the long run it allows me to get a good number of cards without having to invest a penny.

My goal with regard to these cards is to get them to the maximum level that can be played with a level 5 or, at worst, level 4 Rare Summoner.

Legendary cards are in fact always very difficult to obtain and getting them to level 3 is probably out of my reach.

Rewards Soulbound Cards

To monitor the progress of my collection, I use a very useful tool provided by Splintercards.com.

Overall, the completion percentage is between 14% and 33%, with Epic cards being - surprisingly - rarer than Legendary ones.

Looking at the various rarities one by one, it emerges that:

1. the Common cards are almost all already at least at level 6

1. Rare cards are pretty much all at level 4, with some having already reached level 5

1. Epic cards are at level 2, not far from level 3 and thus almost halfway to level 4, the level to which I need to get them

1. Legendary cards, on the other hand, are way behind, also due to their wide variety: I am totally lacking 3, while only 3 others are at a higher level than 1. This is also why, as mentioned above, my goal is mainly to get them to level 2

Here, too, I am getting closer and closer to my goal!

As for the cards in the Chaos Legion set, my progress on the cards in the Rewards Soulbound set is good and proceeding at a good pace: the recent improvement introduced to my game strategy - that is, the rental of 20,000 SPS - is also supposed to speed up the rate at which I obtain new cards.

My hope is to reach my goal before the Soulbound cards become sellable, in order to then focus on the next set that will take its place.

As for the extra copies that I should get, I will consider selling them, when possible, so that I can use the funds to buy other cards that I might need.

So overall the situation is good and I hope that over time it will allow me to improve my results - and earnings - on this game even more!

Perchè Sto Cercando di Ottenere più Carte Soulbound Possibile

Nell'ultimo post che ho scritto su Splinterlands ho parlato dei miei recenti acquisti di carte del set Chaos Legion, il primo set "a pagamento" sul quale sono riuscito a costruire una collezione abbastanza solida e varia.

Un aspetto però da non sottovalutare quando si gioca a Splinterlands sono anche i set che è possibile ottenere semplicemente giocando.

Attualmente i set di questo tipo sono due:

• il set Gladius, le cui carte è possibile ottenere partecipando alle brawls;
• il set Rewards Soulbound, le cui carte possono essere trovate nelle chests giornaliere e stagionali.

La particolarità di entrambi questi set è che attualmente le relative carte non possono essere acquistate sul mercato, ma devono necessariamente essere sbloccate giocando.

Questa è la principale ragione per cui, anche quando ho deciso di dedicarmi alle sole brawl, ho scelto di acquistare un bot per giocare al posto mio nel formato Wild.

Sbloccare il maggior numero possibile di carte Soulbound è infatti uno dei pilastri fondamentali della mia strategia di crescita su Splinterlands, dato che alla lunga mi consente di ottenere un buon numero di carte senza dover investire un centesimo.

Il mio obiettivo riguardo a queste carte è di portarle al livello massimo utilizzabile con un Evocatore raro di livello 5 o, nella peggiore delle ipotesi, di livello 4.

Le carte Leggendarie sono infatti sempre molto difficili da ottenere e portarle al livello 3 probabilmente è fuori dalla mia portata.

Carte Rewards Soulbound

Per monitorare lo stato di avanzamento della mia collezione mi avvalgo dell'utilissimo tool messo a disposizione dal sito Splintercards.com.

Nel complesso la percentuale di completamento si attesta tra il 14% ed il 33%, con le carte Epiche che - sorprendentemente - sembrano per me essere più rare delle Leggendarie.

Andando a vedere singolarmente le varie rarità emerge che:

1. le carte Comuni sono praticamente tutte già almeno al livello 6

1. le carte Rare sono quasi tutte al livello 4, con alcune che hanno già raggiunto il livello 5

1. le carte Epiche sono al livello 2, non lontane dal livello 3 e quindi quasi a metà strada per il livello 4, ossia il livello a cui devo portarle

1. le carte Leggendarie sono invece molto indietro, anche stante il loro ampio numero: 3 mi mancano totalmente, mentre solo altre 3 sono ad un livello più alto dell'1. Anche per questo, come dicevo sopra, il mio obiettivo è principalmente di portarle tutte al livello 2

Anche qui sono sempre più vicino al mio obiettivo!

Come per le carte del set Chaos Legion, anche sulle carte del set Rewards Soulbound i miei progressi sono soddisfacenti e procedono ad un buon ritmo: il recente miglioramento introdotto alla mia strategia di gioco - ossia il noleggio di 20.000 SPS - dovrebbe inoltre velocizzare ancora di più il ritmo a cui ottengo nuove carte.

La mia speranza è quella di raggiungere il mio obiettivo prima che le carte Soulbound diventino vendibili, così da potermi poi concentrare sul successivo set che prenderà il posto di questo.

Quante alle copie extra che dovessi ottenere, valuterò se venderle, quando sarà possibile, così da utilizzare i fondi per acquistare altre carte che mi dovessero servire.

Nel complesso la situazione quindi è buona e spero che nel tempo mi consenta di migliorare sempre più i miei risultati - e guadagni - su questo gioco!
