Splinterlands: I Just Missed a Good Opportunity...

As I mentioned in my last post about Splinterlands, after investing a large part of my budget in a top-level Epic card, Redwyrm Dragon, I now find myself with much less DEC available.

To be exact, I still have 27,437 DEC, which isn't a lot, but it's not too little either.

My resources are currently split between my two accounts, but soon I want to concentrate all the DEC on my main account, so that I always have my full purchasing power available.

This may seem like a small detail, but I’ve learned the hard way that sometimes speed is everything.

A few days ago, I was, as usual, checking the market for cards from the Rebellion set looking for something to buy: my budget doesn't allow me to go for the highest-level cards, which complicates things a bit, but by constantly monitoring the market, I still hope to find what I'm looking for.

And then, at one point, I set my eyes on a card that seemed perfect for me!

Chaos Jailer, level five

At level five, this card already has all four abilities unlocked: increasing the level only gives one more attack point and two more health, making levels beyond the fifth not very advantageous.

It seemed like the perfect card for me, especially considering the price of $11.21: about half of my budget... great!

Too bad I let some time pass before deciding to make the purchase... apparently, too much time.

Missed opportunity

There it is, the card I would have liked to get:

Unfortunately, the purchase isn't mine, and it was made by someone else who, apparently, was faster and more decisive than I was.

That's why, for the future, I want to have everything ready: I'm often a bit indecisive as it is, and when you add the need to move and transfer tokens, the risk is that this situation might happen again, which I would like to avoid, if possible 😅

The question I’m asking myself, though, is: will this opportunity come up again? Or should I just accept it and focus on a different card?

Finding cards that fit my requirements isn't easy, and having a smaller budget doesn't help at all... but hope is the last to die, and you never know if what I'm looking for might just be around the corner :)

Splinterlands: Ho Appena Perso una Buona Occasione...

Come raccontavo nel mio ultimo post su Splinterlands, dopo aver investito buona parte del mio budget in una carta epica di massimo livello, Redwyrm Dragon, mi trovo adesso con molto meno DEC a disposizione.

Per l'esattezza ho ancora 27.437 DEC, che non sono tanti, ma non sono poi neanche così pochi.

Le mie risorse sono attualmente divise tra i miei due account, ma a breve voglio concentrare tutto il DEC sul mio account principale, in modo da avere in ogni momento a disposizione tutto il mio potere di acquisto.

Questo può sembrare un dettaglio da poco, ma ho imparato a mie spese che alle volte la velocità è tutto.

Qualche giorno fa, infatti, stavo, come mio solito, controllando la situazione sul mercato delle carte del set Rebellion alla ricerca di qualcosa da acquistare: il mio budget non mi consente di puntare alle carte di massimo livello e questo mi complica un po' le cose, ma monitorando continuamente la situazione spero comunque di riuscire a trovare quel che cerco.

Ed ecco che ad un certo punto ho messo gli occhi addosso ad una carta che sembrava proprio fare al caso mio!

Chaos Jailer di quinto livello

Al quinto livello questa carta ha già disponibili tutte e 4 le abilità che può sbloccare: l'aumentare del livello le consente solo di ottenere un punto in più di attacco e due di salute, rendendo i livelli successivi al quinto non molto convenienti.

Sembrava perciò la carta perfetta per me, soprattutto anche considerato il prezzo di 11.21 dollari: circa la metà del mio budget... ottimo!

Peccato che per decidermi a fare l'acquisto ho lasciato passare del tempo... troppo a quanto pare.

Occasione persa

Eccola lì, la carta che volevo fare mia:

Peccato che l'acquisto non sia il mio e che sia stato fatto da qualcun altro che, a quanto pare, è stato più veloce e sicuro di me.

Ecco perchè per il futuro voglio già avere tutto pronto: già sono spesso un po' indeciso di mio, se in più ci aggiungiamo anche il dover fare movimenti e spostamenti di token, il rischio è che si verifichi di nuovo questa situazione, cosa che vorrei evitare, se possibile 😅

La domanda che mi pongo, però, è: si presenterà di nuovo questa occasione? O ormai devo mettermi l'animo in pace e focalizzarmi su qualche carta diversa?

Trovare carte che si adattino ai miei requisiti non è facile e avere un budget più piccolo non aiuta affatto... la speranza però è l'ultima a morire e non è detto che ciò che cerco non sia proprio dietro l'angolo :)
