First Step Towards my New Strategy

Week after week, encouraged by these posts that I publish on a bi-weekly basis to join the Challenge organized by @splinterlands, which is currently arguably my biggest source of growth within Hive, finally I have decided to take the first real step to kick-start the strategy I had outlined in this post.

To begin with, then, due to the really low level reached by now by my rental activity, which at the beginning of the season sits down even below 100 DEC per day, I have stopped and cancelled all rentals, in order to regain full control of my cards.

Until a couple of months ago I was able to make much more money from Splex.gg's Rental Golem, but since the introduction of the infamous 1 DEC fee my income has dropped significantly, making renting not to say useless, but definitely underwhelming.

Now that I am back in control of my collection, first of all I will be able to come back and play brawls with my Guild (finally!): my focus will always be on the novice and bronze frays in which only the cards related to the Chaos Legion set are allowed, in which I have by now acquired some experience and where I hope to achieve some good results.

Other area I will try to pay more attention to is tournaments: although my collection restricts me quite a bit, I want to see if there are any tournaments with a low entry fee and an SPS requirement around 3000 SPS that might be worth joining, in order to learn more about a part of the game that, until now, I have completely ignored.

Lastly, since I still don't feel like playing in ranked games with a collection that is too weak for Gold League, I would like to see if there is some kind of system (e.g., a bot) that would allow me to get at least some rewards.

Of course, given the approval of the recent proposal to ban bots from the Modern format, my attention will now turn to the Wild format... perhaps this experiment will yield a negative outcome, but I am still curious to see how it will go, also because — in the process of conducting these experiments — I will find myself losing only a handful of DECs.

By the way, from brawls alone I should already be able to get, over the course of a whole Season, about sixty SPSs, if I'm right, with a very similar counter value to what I get from rentals. On top of that, though, I would also get a few Gladius packs to open, as well as — ideally — some daily and end-of-season chests.

In short, when all is said and done, I believe there is no doubt about the opportunity of this first step, which will only bring me benefits and help me improve my collection a little faster — since things have been going really too slow lately!

Primo Passo verso la mia Nuova Strategia

Settimana dopo settimana, stimolato anche da questi post che cerco di pubblicare a cadenza bisettimanale per partecipare alla Challenge organizzata da @splinterlands, che attualmente costituisce senza ombra di dubbio la mia principale fonte di crescita all'interno di Hive, ecco che finalmente mi sono deciso a fare il primo passo concreto per dare il via alla strategia che avevo delineato in questo post.

Per cominciare, perciò, dato il livello davvero basso ormai raggiunto dalla mia attività di renting, che ad inizio stagione si attesta addirittura sotto ai 100 DEC al giorno, ho arrestato e cancellato ogni noleggio, così da riottenere il pieno controllo delle mie carte.

Fino ad un paio di mesi riuscivo a guadagnare molto di più grazie al Rental Golem di Splex.gg, ma da quando è stata introdotta la famigerata fee di 1 DEC il mio margine di profitto è calato notevolmente, rendendo il renting non dico inutile, ma sicuramente insoddisfacente.

Ora che sono tornato in possesso della mia collezione, per prima cosa potrò tornare a giocare le brawl con la mia Gilda (finalmente!): il mio focus sarà sempre sulle fray novizio e bronzo in cui è consentito l'utilizzo di carte legate al set Chaos Legion, dove ormai ho acquisito una certa esperienza e dove spero di poter ottenere qualche buon risultato.

Altro aspetto al quale cercherò di prestare più attenzione è quello dei tornei: sebbene la mia collezione mi limiti parecchio, voglio vedere se c'è qualche torneo con tassa di ingresso bassa ed un requisito di SPS intorno ai 3000 SPS a cui possa valere la pena partecipare, per cercare di imparare a conoscere una parte del gioco che, fino ad oggi, ho completamente ignorato.

Da ultimo, dato che continuo a non avere voglia di giocare nelle partite classificate con la mia collezione troppo debole per la Lega Gold, voglio provare a vedere se esiste un qualche sistema (ad esempio un bot) che mi consenta di ottenere almeno qualche premio.

Naturalmente, stante l'approvazione della recente proposta di ban dei bot dal formato Modern, la mia attenzione sarà rivolta adesso al formato Wild... magari questo esperimento darà esito negativo, ma sono comunque curioso di vedere come andrà, anche perchè - nel mentre che conduco questi esperimenti - mi troverò a perdere solamente una manciata di DEC.

Tra l'altro, già dalle sole brawl dovrei riuscire ad ottenere, nel corso di una Stagione intera, circa una sessantina di SPS, se non sbaglio, con un controvalore molto simile a quello che ottengo dai noleggi. In più, però, avrei anche qualche pacchetto Gladius da aprire, oltre a - potenzialmente - qualche chest giornaliera e di fine stagione.

Insomma, a conti fatti credo che non ci siano dubbi sulla opportunità di questo primo passo, che non potrà che portarmi benefici ed aiutarmi a migliorare un po' più velocemente la mia collezione ⁠— dato che ultimamente le cose stanno andando davvero troppo a rilento!
