Recently Publish0x guys have introduced a set of changes in the rules.
Naturally, I'm a bit upset about reduced tips. But personally, I've never considered blogging at Publish0x (and elsewhere) as my "source of income" (even though Publish0x made me rich with FORTH airdrop). And I understand why Publish0x decided to reduce tips to keep the business running.
New "quality guidelines" do look kinda censorship thingy. However, from the very beginning, the blogging business faces the problem -- with no censorship (or moderation, if you will) at all any free blogging resource will sooner or later become a shitpile of spam... No matter what noble intentions the owners have, with no moderation becoming a shitpile is just a matter of time. And honestly, I hate posts that contain only an embedded Youtube video and a bunch of aff links, I don't mind seeing such posts simply deleted! If you're lazy to write a paragraph or two -- what the fuck you're doing here?! Anyway, I do hope Publish0x moderation will be fair.
I absolutely don't regret removing ETH from tips. ETH is not for tips anymore, it's too expensive for small shrimps (and the whales go take care of swapping tips into their beloved ETH themselves). Besides, having two cryptos instead of three means that the respective withdrawal amounts can be reached faster.
I would propose Publish0x guys make advertising agreements with new projects and enable tipping in their own tokens. In other words, advertising, blogging, and tipping at Publish0x would become less "a source of income" and more of promoting new things in crypto. However, I don't know if it's technically possible to create a tipping system for multiply blockchains (BSC, Solana, EOS, Hive, etc.) And besides, the amounts of such tips should be withdrawable, to avoid them getting stuck at Publish0x accounts forever.
Anyway, I hope the Publish0x team will guide the project wisely and with them good luck!
