The ethereum classic developers will collaborate with the united nations on three distinct blockchain projects

We have written that the United Nations has developed an enormous interest in blockchain technology in prose and music; there are numerous experiments, funded by the UN, which have been put in place in recent years to reduce poverty globally.

It is therefore not surprising to announce a new collaboration, this time with the developers of Ethereum Classic, to develop three distinct projects all aimed at solving some of the most common problems on the African continent.

The first project concerns a MESH messaging system designed to facilitate the exchange of information in those areas of the continent where connectivity is poor or non-existent; another very interesting project is OS City, which aims at the generation of tamper-proof records in the management of public procurement with the aim of reducing bureaucracy and fighting corruption.

Last but not least is Prescripto, a platform that aims to ensure the integrity and security of personal data that will be used to authenticate a patient's identity before unlocking their personal medical information.

More recently, Ethereum Classic Labs has also announced its willingness to partner with UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) by donating $ 1 million to support various ongoing projects.

As for the three projects mentioned above, if they really manage to solve phenomena such as lack of transparency in public procurement, rampant corruption, the need to trace patients' medical records before subjecting them to any medical procedure (without putting them at risk) privacy) and the poor connectivity that still characterizes large areas of the continent, would be a small turning point for the whole of Africa.

Secondly, moreover, to benefit from such a success would be the same blockchain industry which could therefore definitively demonstrate the enormous utility that this technology has for ordinary people; all we can do is hope that all these partnerships between institutions and some of the main blockchain infrastructures will be able to produce a concrete and measurable result, capable of concretely impacting reality and significantly improving people's quality of life, which is precisely why blockchain technology was born.
