The Market is Different ! 

The crypto market is bouncing back as we enter 2026, but the question... is it just speculation, a volatile moment or the market is resetting, attracting capital again ? 

Let's check some easy figures: 

It’s evident that several altcoins are outperforming both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Leading the charge, we have SUI, which is up by a staggering 39%, followed by Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE). Other coins, like XRP, and Cardano (ADA)  have posted impressive double-digit gains in recent days but their mid-term performances are a bit flat. In short, everything is doing from great to ok, except LEO ;-)

Interestingly, Bitcoin and Ethereum, while still in positive territory, are lagging behind the best altcoin performers, with ETH up just +10.5% and BTC at +7.5% year-to-date.

This shift in momentum may suggest that investors are ready to risk more at the moment and that altcoins are considered a good alternative to the big brothers, BTC and ETH. 

Let’s dive a bit deeper. By analyzing the total crypto market cap minus stablecoins, we can see that this rally has been more methodical and ordered than in previous weeks. Most Altcoins are in green, still the overall performance is considered bearish. not having recovered to last year levels and not having a So rapid growth. 

What does this tell us? While some altcoins are performing well, the overall market structure remains largely bearish, and the rally is still being led by the Top 20 tokens.

Is This the Start of a Real Rotation?

While the data suggests a return of appetite for risk, it’s important to recognize that we are still in the early stages of a possible market transformation. The participation of small altcoins is encouraging, but few days of rallies do not make a trend, and investors need to remain cautious of a potential speculative trap.

We need to observe whether the overall market structure continues to improve, and whether the broader adoption of altcoins persists.

The market will need to show more stability and a clearer trend before we can say the shift is anything more than a temporary surge.

Only time will tell, but data and caution will be the best guides through this next phase of the crypto cycle.
