Staking ETH on Exchanges Comparison

By Thalers-r | Crypto Curious | 31 Jan 2021

This is definitely NOT financial advice. A mere comparison of some of the exchanges that provide Ethereum staking. Please, always, do your own research! (DYOR)

As of 1st of December 2020, Ethereum Staking has begun. Now everyone can stake ETH and be a validator and earn rewards. Well, almost everyone. First of all, you need to own 32ETH.

As you can see above, it is quite a sum of money. But some exchanges provide Ethereum staking for those who don’t have 32ETH or the necessary technical skills to stake. Besides, let’s say you have 50ETH, if you run a validator node your rewards will be the same as those who stake 32ETH. Until you have 64ETH and run 2 validator nodes, your earning won’t increase after your staking surpasses 32ETH. But if you stake that 32ETH on an exchange your earnings will increase proportionally to your staking amount. (Read more about Ethereum staking by clicking here)

Many people are staking their ETH on exchanges. Here are some of the exchanges where you can stake your ETH on.

KuCoin

Binance

Please note that, in the last row, the value of issued tokens against ETH are the last trading price at the time of writing and subject to change as those are trading pairs.

Staking on an exchange is quite easy. Just a few clicks and you are all set. No need to wait months to spend your earnings. But as always, not your keys not your money. Each option has pros and cons as usual.

If you decide to stake on an exchange, rather than going all in, staking a minimal ETH in the desired platform seems to be a wise idea. You can keep track of the pros and cons without any major risks. Staking for at least a week may be suitable for most. During this time, track your rewards, compare trade earnings, etc. If you are comfortable with it, go ahead and stake the rest of your ETH. And again, please DYOR!

Note: The links of exchanges in this article are reffed. If you would like to click on non-reffed links, you can find them below in the resources section.

Thank you for reading. I hope, you enjoyed it and/or it helped you somehow.
