The long arms of the Cryptocurrency in Thailand

By Yugocean | Crypto Champion | 8 Apr 2023

The impact of cryptocurrencies is growing so great that instead of trying to restrict it, Thai politicians  are taking heed of public demand as crypto gains popularity among the general public.

Crypto Bribe For Votes

Politicians make enticing promises in an attempt to win public support. Similarly, in Thailand, opposition candidate Shretha Thavisin has promised to airdrop 10,000 baht (about $300) in crypto to each voter if he wins the election.

Bad effect

If Shretha Thavisin's Pheu Thai party wins the election, fulfilling its crypto airdrop promise will have a huge impact on Thailand's economy, as the money to be distributed to the public will come from the treasury, and the deficit can be accomplished only by imposing taxes on public, means it will be passed on to the public. This can be accomplished only by imposing taxes.

Misuse

There is a possibility that Thavisin might create his own cryptocurrency to distribute among people, or he will buy it from other developers who will help him. In both ways, Thavisin will use Thailand for his own goals.

The LoL Movement iii

Hence proved that bribing is legal in Thailand, but in the crypto world, we DO not KWON which type of shitcoin he will airdrop.
