May 31st was for months touted as the big presale for Farsite. Now that it's here, let's take a look at what's for sale.
There are 4 types of crates one could pre-order. All limited editions. The two that could be bought for ETH were sold out in a day. The other two you can only buy with the in-game currency: Credits. *I'm unclear as to how one gets credits. I did read that crates could contain credits and that there will be distributions... but haven't seen a distribution yet. So the four crates:
Triton Crate - apparently contains a ship hull, a module, and some components.
Neptune Crate - the ship hull is 1st edition (does that create better function or just bragging rights?) and there are also some credits included in the crate (random amount, it seems).
Phobos Crate - the hull is for a Seybana ship. It also includes a Seybana ship blueprint.
Mars Crate - contains the hull and blueprints for a 1st Edition Ship; some credits too.
Interesting that the Triton Crate is priced at 350k credits while the Phobos one will cost you a hefty 2.5M credits. Why such a huge difference? Can't wait for some updates explaining the economics of ship components and crates.
Maybe even new items to pre-order?
We'll see....
