Brave Browser: Roaring Back with Rewards

Oh man how a few months have really changed the game in regards to Brave Browser Rewards. When the pandemic first hit initially they did not change their rewards structure. However, after advertising was slashed across industries and showed no signs of returning to previous levels the development team was quick to not just cut the amount of BAT given per ad once but twice. This really really upset a bunch of users and to compound it they ended their referral program. The Brave Browser Team though kept marching right along and after some tech bugs with payouts back in September where they did a onetime middle of the month payment to correct the issue they have been slowly chugging along.

What's been key is the economic recovery that has taken place allowing businesses to want to advertise again. Brave was also aided by the immense interest that has been generated around Bitcoin and at the same time blockchain technology/cryptocurrencies. Rewards for the last few months to have really been making a comeback. At the highest point in the my Brave BAT rewards I would easily earn 20+ BAT a month on one computer and close to 10 on another for a total of 30 BAT. This would roughly equal out to $6 in BAT on a good month with the price around $0.20 per BAT. Last month I did not use one of my computers at all and used another one only a little bit as I was traveling and was using my phone for most things. I still earned 7 BAT with this limited usage and given the price being what it is right now, $0.60, which would put the value at $4.20 month. While BAT will definitely fall back the and it my best guess could fall to $0.45 at the worst that would still leave the value at $3.15.

Given how bad it seemed to get from the Brave Team at one point the turn around it rather amazing. They have continued to produce a fantastic Web3 Browser that is both safe and secure and they have been able to really boost the rewards. There was a time at the end of last year that if I used my computer 24/7 I would only receive a couple of ads and end up with just 2-3 BAT rewarded even if I engaged in ads. Fast forward to a few months later and they have continued to add new features and announce new partnerships. They have continued to grow their audience too, hitting new record highs of monthly users. The future is looking bright for the Brave Team and the Browser continues to be a rousing success. The only thing I hope for is the iOS version to get back the ability to disperse BAT.
