This morning when I logged onto my computer I saw that I needed to update my Brave Browser and before kicking off work decided to go ahead and take care of it. When it relaunched I immediately noticed a change on the home screen on the browser and was extremely excited to see it. To most people, this might not be a huge update or change but it was something that I believe really helps the transparency of the browser overall. Now underneath the bubble that says way awards are headed your day, it has a "Check Status" link you can click!

When I clicked on this just to test it out I saw it sent me to the Brave Community page to the post that gives you the status of the payments being paid out. This was a super neat thing to see added as it just saves time and I think shows that the development team is trying to be as transparent as possible! Also, it gives updates to what is going on and that is key since this month an issue was discovered with Brave Rewards and Gemini. Now I had not noticed any issues with me but they have a fix that is being implemented today (Feb. 7th). They also informed everyone that if you had been unverified all you would need to do is to reconnect to your Gemini account and the BAT will transfer to it! This issue will not affect your pending rewards at all so no one should lose any BAT and if it does occur contact them via the Community page! 

It could also just be me but since the last week of January my ads have really picked back up again which has been nice to see. While I do not get as many popup ads anymore instead I get many more new tab ads. While these sometimes are worth less than the others it seems so far that it has really equaled out to how it was last year. On one computer I have already earned over half a BAT and on my other computer, I am at 0.40 BAT. Based on what I believe happened campaigns (which are the ads) might have started off a little slow this year and that is why ads seemed to really lag in the beginning. As the month went on they picked up which further makes me think this is what had occurred. Currently, I am averaging a little over 10 ads a day according to the rewards tab. 

These updates and improvements while small mean a lot more than I think most people realize as it shows that they are continuously trying to improve their product and refine it. They are not jumping to other ideas or projects on the browser as they continue to improve their core product and this is fantastic to see. I continue to be impressed by the development team and maintain a very optimistic outlook for the future of this browser and the utility behind BAT as they continue to work and expand that.
