For many in the crypto space, the web browser of choice is the Brave Browser due to the built-in functionality it has with Web 3 and cryptocurrency overall. Even those who are not in the crypto space have come to highly regard this browser because of its built-in industry-leading privacy protection. Unlike other services or plug-ins that one can add these are all built right into Brave making them automatic and easy for a beginner to become acquainted with. 

Honestly, though I had no idea how they really managed to do any of it. When you would go look into their blog posts or community page I failed too much that really helped me understand so I honestly chalked it up to one of the great unknowns of the world. That is until a couple of days ago when they posted their most recent blog post that finally at least to me explained how they were able to provide such top-notch security for users. What really excited me about this post as well is that it is written in a way that allows people who do not code or have computer science degrees to understand!

That being said so how does Brave do it? Well before this post I knew one thing that they did was build into their browser the default to block cookies and other data-scrapping things that often are utilized by websites for both good and bad reasons. Now though they have explained it in much greater detail and at least to me a lot of things started to make sense. 

The key behind it is using a proxy service and when I have had internet issues with Brave in the past I had noticed it typically occurred with a site called Cloudflare where my internet request would time. Well Cloudflates Spectrum proxy service is what Brave directs your internet traffic to before it is sent to their own servers which processes the request. Below is an imagine of what this information request looks like. 

Even though Brave did not need to write a post explaining it to people it was really great to see them break it down into terms that an average person can understand. Brave has had the technical side of things like the audits present on their site for some time now but to someone like me it doesn't make any sense what so ever.
