I was browsing the internet a few days ago, trying to find something the gods of Publish0x would appreciate, when an ingenious idea struck me. In that moment I googled the words "BAT coin debit card". The very first result I found was the UQUID debit card, and oh boy, what a card it is. For those of you who have feelings of mistrust towards MCO's debit card, I assure you this card takes the cake. Now to clarify I don't believe that BAT or Brave has anything to do with this card. This card may have features that utilize BAT but nothing I say for this card should be taken as an extension of my opinion of BAT.
The earliest article I could find confirming the release of the UQUID card was in 2016, so that's when I'm gonna say it was released. Created with the purpose of allowing users to spend over 40 different altcoins at their favorite merchants, the card was released amidst a flurry of reports claiming that the card has the potential to be the next big Bitcoin Card. But has it truly succeeded in doing in being the next big card or has it lived to be a massive flop?
Reasons why this card may be glorious

- Bitcoin and Altcoin card variants
There are currently two different UQUID cards on the market. One that only accepts bitcoin and another that accepts almost 100 differenet altcoins on the market. That number alone is staggering especually when considering most cards only support transactions through at most 15 or so coins not mentioning anywhere near 100 coins.
- Powered by BAT (allegedly)
Now I don't know how much credence you can put into this, but apparently the cards website claims the card is powered by BAT. I don't know exactly what this means, last I checked that simply meant that it could trade in BAT but hey its apparently important enough where they made it a banner on their website.

- Can top up your phone
Ok so. I may have gotten this drastically wrong. But according to this cards website you can recharge your phone with cryptocurrencies. I Sh*t you not that's what the website says. You can enter any phone number that's supported, use cryptocurrencies to pay for the fees, and within 10 minutes your phone will be automatically recharged. Clearly this was the feature that every card previously was missing. Now you can always rely on your trusty debit card to recharge your phone when it inevitably loses charge.
Reasons why I should have reviewed this card April 1st

- I literally can not take this card seriously.
I mean take a look at this cards website for even a minute and you can't help but want to shoot it. Not only does it not give any information on any of the extra features of the card but the site is riddled with poor spelling and improper grammar. I'm almost 100% certain that all the reviews on the site are fake. Just take this one for example.
"Love you man Tongue It works, I tried 3-4 cards and no one works and i was like try to pay on that site from last 4 days. And your card worked on that site and made it possible. Nice service Recommended. Best of Luck "

Like honestly it does't even make sense reading it nonetheless trying to figure out what its saying about the card. The website sucks, and that only makes the card look even that much more worse.
- Oh yea, you also can't withdraw your funds
There are copious amounts of reviews for this card complaining about the lack of the ability to withdraw funds from the card and when customers try and get in contact with any form of customer support, they either get an evasive response back at best or no response at all at worst. So definitely something you should keep in mind when considering this card.
Does it look good in your wallet?

- Hell no, you joking?
This card is honestly the very thing I hate about most average debit/credit cards. Cheap plastic shine that's typical of most cards as well as a basic bank graphic on the top. No innovation was done towards making this card's design anything interesting to look at and honestly I think that speaks volumes to the actual effort that was put in to trying to make this card actually appeal to any considerably large audience. It really just looks like a flimsy bank card and nothing at all like the potential crypto wonder card it tries to claim to be. 2/10 reminds me of my Walgreen's gift card, but somehow cheaper.

Summary
So I'm just gonna jump to the point and say this is NOT a card that I would recommend you. It is clearly just a scam card and I am writing this article honestly more for the fun of it than to actually try and sell this card. If you really want a crypto debit card I'd recommend literally any other card. I have articles on cards such as Coinbase's debit card, the Ternio BlockCard, and even MCO's debit card that are all good alternatives to this travesty of a card. If I succeeded in doing one thing with this article then please let it be this. DO NOT get the UQUID debit card.
