In Alien Worlds, the Sci-Fi Blockchain Mining Game there is a mechanic called "Shining" you can do with your tools to increase the rarity and stats of them. In this article you will learn if Shining is worth it or not, what is Shining, how to do it, and how much it costs.
What is Shining?
Shining is when you combine 4 items together to turn it into a higher rarity. The rarities are Stone, Gold, Stardust, and Antimatter. The higher rarities these items are, the better stats they are. For example a unshined Advanced TD has 100% efficiency. A gold Advanced TD has 137.5%.
How do you do Shine?
Shining is very simple. You just need 4 of the same tool (you cannot shine weapons/minions/artifacts!) and then go to the unbox site under inventory (link here) and click the item you want to shine. Then click the "shine" button and select the 4 same tools you want to shine. Remember, its 4 of the same rarity, so if you want to make a Stardust shined tool, you need 4 golds (which is 16 stones.)
How much does it cost?
The cost of shining is Trilium (based off of what rarity you want to shine up to) and 4 of the same rarity tool. You can see the Trilium price in the image below.
Is Shining Worth It?
Shining can be worth it if you have lots of spare Trilium and WAX to buy multiple of the same tool. Personally, I don't think its worth it unless you have loads of WAX and want to get more efficiency.
