This blog post is the continuation of my previous blog post titled - What comes after Instagram Handles ? - Part - 1,  where we discussed what comes after Instagram handles or social media handles. That blog is the Part - 1 of this blog post, if you hadn't read that blog post, so go and read that first. In that blog post I write some of the beginner level technology mediums which you might didn't hear about.

In this blog post, I will be writing some more of these tech coming but those are advanced technologies which you also didn't about in relation with what comes after Instagram Handles.

The trail of data left behind by interaction by a user in a digital environment, with not only usernames but all activities and contributions online. For example : all groceries items in an amazon shop list, list of all passwords stored online, etc...

• Context (e.g., location, device, browser)

3- Blockchain Identity : -

People using blockchain technology for decentralized and secure identity verification, potentially enabling more trustworthy and portable digital identities.

Key Concepts of Blockchain Identity: -

1- Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) : -

Unique identifiers stored on a blockchain, allowing individuals to control their digital identity.

2- Verifiable Credentials (VCs) : -

Digital proofs of identity, skills, or achievements, issued and verified on a blockchain.

3- Gateway Protocol : -

A standardized protocol for connecting DIDs and VCs to various applications and services.

Benefits : -

1- Improved Security : -

Tamper-proof blockchain ensures data integrity and protects against identity theft.

2- Enhanced Privacy : -

Individuals control their identity data and can selectively disclose information.

3- Increased Efficiency : -

Automated verification processes reduce manual errors and costs.

4- Interoperability: DIDs and VCs enable seamless interactions across different systems and applications.

4- Personal API (Application Programming Interface) : -

A programmable representation of a user digital identity that allows controlled access to various aspects of their online presence and data.

5- Biometric Digital Identity : -

Incorporating biometric markers like user's fingerprints, facial recognition, or DNA data into digital identities for enhanced security and personalization.

6- Temporal Identity : -

An identity that can change or adapt over time based on context, allowing individuals to present different aspects of themselves depending on the situation or audience.

7- Augmented Reality Identity (AR Identity) : -

As AR technologies evolve, individuals may have virtual avatars or personas that interact in mixed reality environments, blending real-world and digital identities.
