A new token, Retik, was created just last month, in December 2023. This token currently has a value of 0$ and has 8 holders, with the lead holder holding 40% of the total quantity of the token. Based on this, this token would appear to be just another one of the hundreds of thousands of zero-value scam tokens. However, there have been numerous articles and blogs recently posted proclaiming the superiority of Retik and how its future is so great and optimistic.

Here are just a few of these articles:

  • Cardano (ADA) set to be replaced by Retik Finance (RETIK) in 2024: This article, as emphasized by the title, discusses how Retik will “replace” Cardano. However, a simple read of the article will show that it is full of lies. Here is one of them: “The recent price dip of 2.65% and challenges in scalability and interoperability raise questions about its ability to remain at the forefront of the rapidly evolving crypto landscape.” This is just extreme exaggeration to the point of lies, where it claims that a dip of 2.65% in price, along with scalability and interoperability issues, makes Cardano lose its place as a forefront cryptocurrency, yet every crypto has these problems; Retik has nothing new to offer. The 2.65% drop in price is just a change that happens to every crypto every day; it doesn’t make Cardano any less of a leading crypto.
  • Why is Buying Retik Finance (RETIK) at $0.07 Similar to Buying Ethereum (ETH) at $10? Experts Explain: This article compares Retik to Ethereum, specifically in its early stages. The article highlights the advantages of investing in Ethereum early on, and then it claims that Retik has the same advantages. Towards the end of the article, it gives supposed “expert” views on Retik, yet these “experts” are just some generic John, Sarah, and Michael, who reiterate what was said earlier in the article.
  • 4 Cryptos That Can Beat Shiba Inu (SHIB): This article seems to focus generally on cryptocurrencies that could beat Shiba Inu, yet it highlights Retik more than the others, linking its webpage and other websites about Retik. The way the article is written cleverly places Retik into a list of other cryptocurrencies that have some sort of potential to make Retik seem like one of these other cryptocurrencies. However, Retik clearly stands out as a scam token.
  • Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Prediction Post BTC Halving: This article claims that Bitcoin price halved recently, but as seen by the graphs on Bitcoin price, it has not halved. The article then presents Retik as a contender for the spotlight, repeating vague sentences that emphasize its “uniqueness” and amazing "potential.” Like the other articles, it ends by linking to the presale of Retik.

These are just a few of the numerous articles about Retik. More Articles Advertising Retik(These are all Scams). In fact, Google actually recommended one of these articles in its news feed, but don’t fall for it. Any article that highlights Retik’s superiority or potential is most likely a scam.

Although this is just another zero-value scam token out of the thousands of other such tokens, the worrying part is that people are actually falling for it. As of now, 57,126 people have entered the giveaway, which requires the user to pay $100 as part of the entry, so innocent people lost money totaling more than $570,000 dollars, and this number just seems to continue to increase.
