Dubai approves law in first instance court that allow citizens to be paid salaries in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The news comes as a glove to the actual scenario in the crypto field as the ecosystem is evolving day after day.

The judge approved this measure after a litigation between a worker and it's labour entity which at the time didn't have means to pay in Fiat but could use ecowatt tokens to pay. After careful consideration and opened to a more friendly economic society, a judge come across the rule that if the employment contract stipulate crypto in salaries, why not? It's important to understand that the payment will only be allowed if the contract between the parts agreed to be paid using cryptocurrencies or Fiat.

It means that, if you are working in Dubai and want to be paid in crypto must sign a contract with the company stating that you want to be paid in crypto and the contract is valid and legal in the territory. Let's not be that happy as this was approved only in the first instance and I believe still need to be approved by other government entities, such as high courts, but its all going in a good direction to turn Dubai into a more crypto hub territory.

Dubai Is a territory that is advanced a long way to embrace crypto and is being told that more than half of it's population hold some kind of crypto and being able to pay workers using it is a step forward to a wider audience embracing decentralized currencies.
