Rain, the most precious thing on earth... after chocolate cake, of course! Like I've been saying for a long time now... like 30 years to be precise 😂... this island is very hot! Usually at this time of the year we have drought, so far we're doing good but rain is a rare thing at this point. So whenever rain comes is like a blessing. It rained yesterday out of the blue and I just stood there, under the rain, getting all wet.
I closed my eyes and slowly move my head facing the sky while the rain was falling on me. I took a deep breath while listening to the drops falling on the ground and the leaves. For some minutes it was just me and the rain, nothing more. The world disappeared and I became one with the nature. My spirit felt energized, my heart were dancing happily and I was very relaxed. Then my neighbor started to scream "get inside your house, you're gonna catch a cold" and killed the moment...
This tiny moments are precious. They make living worthwhile! Some people find happiness in jewels, some in fancy cars, others in 5 stars restaurants and others in designer's clothes... me? Rain is happiness! Sea glass is happiness! The wind playing with the trees is happiness! To see a sincere smile after a really long and difficult day is happiness! Choco is happiness! This things are free... except the choco, unless you have a cacao tree and know how to make chocolate... happiness is free and it comes wrapped in tiny moments that last forever in your mind.
