Hex: New Kid on the Blockchain - Enter the Controversy... Or... You've Gotta Have Heart... Richard, that is

For over a year now, I've followed debate/discussion videos by people I would designate as the very small pool of talent I deem as thought leaders. Not to go off topic, one of these people are Richard Heart, who's YouTube channel can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCta3TYFhzfpPvOtKBDifYJA

He's sometimes abrasive, sometimes condescending, always opinionated, and underlying it all there are signs of sincerity and a real person driven to do some good for humanity while making an honest buck. Somehow, this electric... and eclectic combination leave most people with an extreme response. People love to hate him, and hate to love him. He takes it all in stride, but interestingly, this also tends to bring out the best and worst in people.

Mr. Heart has been working on a cryptocurrency project for many months, called Hex.

(not an endorsement, not financial advice).

Here's where it gets interesting.

It is a fact impossible to debate, that the crypto community sees almost everything as a scam.

If an update takes 2 days; it's a scam.

If someone recommends a referral link... scammmmm.

But, for good reason; 2017 was the year everyone suddenly knew everything there was to know about crypto, but ICO's raised millions and dumped coins, Bitconnect... happened, and before that Mt.Gox messed over thousands of early adopters of Bitcoin. The market started to tank, and instead of that 100X everyone was waiting on, it was like the Great Depression that only crypto-people knew about. Bear markets are bad enough, but with a new sector of people who aren't necessarily stock-savvy, these were hard times to adjust to.

So, it isn't any huge shock for people to yell "scam" regarding Hex or Richard Heart.

It's a cool crypto project that may, or may not, be a scam. Not financial advice (yeah, second time).

I personally think it would be a strange thing to do, to put your face, pseudonym, public and personal links, $60,000+ investment out there for all to see, and devote dozens of hours in video interviews, and dozens of hours in several Telegram groups, working on what would have to be the most challenging scam to carry off, with the hopes that you could run off with everyone's... what... Ethereum? Future valued Hex coins? Seems like a really hard job to not get paid for, and a really easy person to catch if it WERE a scam. For a man that has an excellent, well-studied answer for just about everything, he'd have to be a few miles on the dumb side of dishonest to carry this off as a scam.

Either way, because I've learned a lot from the person, and the topic, I present from a neutral point of view, which leads me to the reason for this post. Richard certainly brings out the 'not-so-neutral' in folks who would otherwise consider themselves thought leaders, and in other company tend to sound reasonably intelligent themselves. As of the release, Richard has put himself out there to discuss all things crypto, and really anything else, and some of the more level-headed, sometimes smart presenters and personalities are quick to yell "scam!" often to other people's surprise. People are soiling their reputations for the chance to dis and dismiss the mighty Hex, to the point that... well, a guy like me felt like writing all this about it!

Richard has finally released his coin, Hex, and with it the scam police are in full force. I'm going to take a path of least detail here, as this is a pseudo thought piece introduction, and I will share other thoughts on the topic in the near future. In the meantime, I found this article to be interesting and I'll have a little more to say about it later as well: https://hackernoon.com/the-best-crypto-ever-devised-sl513xyl

Once again, in an attempt to remain neutral, I have found Hackernoon to present rather intelligent articles, among the more brain-esque found online, so you can't get much better a breakdown on all things Hex than the actual Hex telegram group... for some other discussion some other day.

Something tells me 2020 is going to be a very interesting year for crypto, for Richard Heart, and for Hex; good, bad, ugly, indifferent... s'gonna be interesting.

Thanks for reading.

Crypto needs mass adoption. Mass adoption comes from liquidity. Liquidity comes from trading on a legitimate exchange... and other cool stuff."
