Major outage sent people into panic mode (and possibly caused this minor crash...?)

Coinbase suffered a major outage in the early hours of May 14, and it took the exchange three hours (!) to fix the issue.

Three hours is an eon for an outage involving a platform that manages billions of dollars.

Coinbase said they didn't know what caused the outage, but I'm fairly sure it contributed to the slight crash we've seen today.

To be honest I hadn't even realised, because I was asleep, but I did see the dip, and read the news.
