Dutch football club's main source of revenue will make you laugh

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 28 Nov 2023

FC Twente, a professional football club from the city of Enschede in the eastern Netherlands, is financially healthier than most big clubs.

Not only are they not in the red, but they're actually profitable.

Last year, they turned a €5 million profit, which is not bad at all for a football club.

But the best part about it is *how* they made that money.

Most clubs heavily rely on transfers and TV deals to boost their revenue.

Meanwhile, Twente relied on beer.

Last year, Twente made around €4 million from selling players and over €6 million from selling beer to the fans during, before and after the game.

Priceless.

Also, side note, I'm particularly proud of the hero image I've created for the article. Just wanted to share that.
