The first time I read something on Bitcoin it was back in 2014 . I dismissed from my mind everything about it while reading that price had collapsed from 1200$ to roughly 400$. I regret not trying to understand what it was all about at the time....
But during the summer in 2017 I met a crypto miner who was very kind to explain me what Bitcoin is and she was very patient to full fill all my doubts and thoughts. My mind was enlightened on the way to Damascus when I understood the main concept of Bitcoin : anti-inflation target. When I went home I started immediately to open accounts in crypto platforms and went full immersion on studying cryptocurrencies. I made my first investment in Bitcoin, which at the time was standing at roughly 1800$, without hesitation. Good for me it was.
In 2018 I was trying to transfer cash from my local bank to a non EU state in Eastern Europe to buy a house.... it turned out a complete nightmare....My bank was blocking the wire transfer because of who or what hell knows. But I realised then that we are not in control of our money at all when it is lying in a bank. A bank can freeze your money in the name of whatever, expenses are high, the account is taxed, nowadays rates are so low that we pay and are not rewarded anymore... sounds crazy, in the end we are lending money to them banks !!! I am not a criminal, I have never been prosecuted, never had problems with law. I am a normal person who works hard to earn fiat money. I was loosing the deal because I had promised through a contract I would have bought the house in one week and my bank was blocking the wire transfer. I contacted a local Bitcoin manager, converted the fiat money to BTC and in less than 10 minutes my transaction was cleared. I managed to buy the house without loosing money and realised the advantages of using cryptos as payment method : low commissions, immediate transfer, no problems from third parties. Besides with DEFI finance nowadays I am rewarded high interests on my deposits.
Bitcoin is so easy to use as payment method but also has been and is a store of value.
