He Earned in BTC, But BCH Taught Him True Value!

Today, I had an interesting chat with a "strange" but very good user. He jumped into my Telegram DM (at first, I thought he was a scammer), but he proved himself to be genuinely interested in getting more information about Bitcoin Cash.

He is from South Africa (that’s all I can tell, as he asked for privacy). He is a newbie to crypto and the whole Bitcoin concept! The reason he reached out to me is quite amusing. He got paid for a gig he was doing in Bitcoin (BTC), and he wanted to use that Bitcoin, but he couldn’t because the "fee" situation was literally stealing a huge part of his money.

It was a perplexing situation for him, as he didn’t understand it. In his mind, all the money he earned should have been exactly what he must receive in fiat. To be frank, this isn’t the first time I’ve helped someone with the same issue. What I always tell them is to avoid using Bitcoin (BTC) for payments and to bet more on BCH. Let me explain.

This user is a creator like me, and he does gigs where he receives all his payments through digital methods like PayPal and similar platforms. However, this time, the platform where he works changed the payment method and started accepting cashouts in Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.

This guy, in his naivety, chose to be paid in Bitcoin (BTC) via the "normal payment" option, and things went south! He received the payment with deductions, and now, to exchange it for Rands (South African currency), he needs to send it either to a centralized crypto exchange or a decentralized service. However, the "fee" isn’t making things any easier for him. Due to the amount he wanted to send, I advised him to wait a little longer, accumulate more payments, and then exchange it for Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

The reason I advised him to do so is that with Bitcoin Cash, he could send all his money to a crypto exchange service and receive either Rands or USDT. I lived in South Africa for five years, and I know places there where crypto is accepted, like Pick n Pay supermarkets, which can also be a good way to spend that money without exchanging it.

The thing is, at the time I lived there, they accepted payments in BCH or via the Lightning Network. However, I urged him to ditch the "Lightning Network" option and use on-chain payments provided by Bitcoin Cash. We had a very long chat, and I am sure he will start accepting all his gig payments in BCH. He also made another interesting request—he asked where he could find more information about Bitcoin Cash.

Do you know what I told him? First, visit Bitinfocharts, and from there, go to Bitcoincash.org and so on. Bitinfocharts is an invaluable resource in the crypto ecosystem, as it allows users to observe real-time information and statistics on various cryptocurrencies in the market.

The website provides a comprehensive overview of the cryptocurrency market, including price, trading volume, market capitalization, transaction fees, and much more. It is an instrument that users and investors can access to help them make informed decisions. It also provides detailed historical information, enabling analysts and the general public to track market trends and prepare for safe investments or simply gain knowledge about a particular cryptocurrency market.

The tool plays a fundamental role in the crypto space. It is a reliable and credible source of information for cryptocurrency users, investors, and analysts. By using the metric data from Bitinfocharts, users can monitor market dynamics, perform technical analysis, and even identify cryptocurrency price trends.

In the case of Bitcoin Cash, Bitinfocharts allows users to track the currency's evolution, observe the number of active addresses, review hashrate distribution, and much more. This helps in understanding how the Bitcoin Cash blockchain operates.

The Bitinfocharts tool is invaluable for monitoring and understanding the cryptocurrency market, whether by analyzing the present or accessing historical information about a particular cryptocurrency or network. It also supports informed investment decisions.

Key Features Displayed by Bitinfocharts for BCH:

  1. Displays the current price of Bitcoin Cash and charts showing price history and trading volume.

  2. Provides market capitalization data, showing the total value of all BCH coins in circulation.

  3. Offers data on blockchain size and growth, including the number of blocks and transactions processed, as well as mining difficulty levels.

  4. Displays the hashrate of the BCH blockchain, along with the top mining pools contributing to the network.

  5. Shows statistics on active Bitcoin Cash addresses and balances of the largest wallets.

  6. Includes data on active nodes and their geographic distribution globally.

  7. Highlights transaction fees, confirmation times, and network performance.

  8. Provides sentiment analysis based on social media and news articles related to Bitcoin Cash.

  9. Offers historical data on price, hashrate, difficulty, and transaction volumes, supporting trend analysis and forecasting.

Bottom Line

Bitinfocharts is an essential tool for monitoring and staying up-to-date on the cryptocurrency market. It provides information that helps individuals stay informed about ecosystem developments and contributes to making informed investment decisions.

For Bitcoin Cash, it’s particularly useful for understanding wallet activity, global hashrate distribution, and other curious and practical insights. This tool offers a wealth of detailed information about the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, enabling a clear understanding of the ecosystem for those who want to track and monitor performance.

I hope that my new friend can visit the Bitinfocharts platform, get more knowledge on Bitcoin Cash, and start learning about the "true Bitcoin" and why it works for the people. Of course, he can choose otherwise, starting to learn from BitcoinCash.org and then coming back to Bitinfocharts, but what is really important is for him to assimilate more about BCH.
