Twisted jester is really a powerful card and it is really dangerous card at lower leagues because it has attack of 2 (most level 1 card have only 1 attack) ,swiftness 3 (again high for lower leagues), mana cost 4 (affordable to fit in team) and it snipes.
But it does not mean it is not good in higher league, couple this card with another sniper and your opponent will be baffled because very few player creates the team to defend against snipe, most of the mana is used in tank and tail security.
so when I got ruleset of "close range" + "target practice" , I took this as perfect opportunity to use it.
My team in order:
Delwyn dragonscale(Summoner),Goblin Mech,Lord Arianthus,Fallen Specter,Twisted jester,Vampire and spirit miner.
My Opponent team in order:
Alric Stormbringer(Summoner),Torhillo the Frozen,Sea Genie,Ruler of the Sea,Naga Windmaster,Magi Sphinix and Water Elemental.
I choose him for +1 magic attack that will be crucial in snipe attack.
Heavy hitter and tank in front, since it "target practice" ruleset, I am sure that Goblin Mech Armor will not be wasted.(Imagine magic attack monster attacking Goblin Mech, it can die before it turn comes.)
2 mana card with high swiftness and magic attack. Do you need more?
The dangerous sniper.
Life leech is really a strong ability and I am sure all HP gathered will might be crucial if Vampire reaches to position 1.
Save my tail with your dodge ability,swiftness is always a welcome ability.
Let move to the battle
This is the image at start of battle when all summonners and monster abilities are in full effect. I wish that splinterland can give the option of shuffling the team selected without going through the pains of reselecting team again. I wanted fallen specter and twisted jester to be swapped but it will require removal of 4 cards and selecting them again. I decided to leave as it is because running out of time is also a big factor.
I lost my fallen specter and opponent lost it's sea genie.
I am 2 card down vs opponent 1 card down, Does it increase the heartbeat?
Game is still open, All eyes on Goblin Mech, If Goblin Mech misses it's chance ,then it will be all over for me
Luckily Gobling Mech did an hit and I finally won this match.
