Splinterland's Rebellion: Dual Summoner impact in Modern League.
Rebellion is live, and all the cards are active in the game. With the Rebellion gone live, Wild has become Wild as it is going to have more options, I am just pitying for players in Wild how many combinations are available to them and it might be challenging for them to run through all the combinations for summoner and monster to make a team in the allotted time.
Modern is a little better where UNTAMED is phased out and REBELLION is in with CHAOS for creating the team for taking part in the battle. One of the interesting things that REBELLION brings is Dual Summoner and the Summoner tactics. In short Rebellion's summoner added more depth to the game and I think the real strength of the Rebellion set is to use the Rebellion summoners effectively.
I like to focus on the Rebellion Dual Summoner and how using and mixing two elements of cards can make a very strong team.
1. BREWMASTER ABRAXAS (Fire/Earth Summoner).
Brewmster Abraxas can summon Fire and Earth elements and it can summon both Fire and Earth elements. So let's check what combination and cards that can be included in the Fire Team from Earth team to increase the strength of the Fire team or vice versa.
When we see the Fire team, It has heavy hitters, and "Grum Fireblade" can act as a very strong tank but the game can become more interesting if Earth splinters heals the Fire tank.
Both Goblin Psychic and Satha Toledo are good at doing this job but I like to see Goblin Psychic with its heal, affliction, dispel, and Silence to destroy the opponent tank and help the Fire tank.
On another note if Countess Sinash is nice enough to give a nice Firepower for the Opportunity attack and Lava Launcher "stun" is good for any team.
2. ZEDDICA (Water/Death Summoner)
Zeddica can summon Water and Death elements and it can summon both Water and Death elements. So let's check what combination and cards that can be included in the Water Team from Death team to increase the strength of the Water team or vice versa.
I find "Lira the Dark" is a strong opportunity attacker and with "Deep Lurker" and its swiftness, they can put opponent 1 or 2 monsters down in the very first round. "Barashkukor" magic attack and ability make it perfect to be added if someone decides to launch a strong magic attack.
In contrast, the same argument holds for the "Deeplurker" and the "Merdaali Guardian" can be a nice healer and repairer with the Death monsters.
3. CHUUL JUJINCHI (Earth/ Life Summoner)
Chuul Jujinchi can summon Earth and Life elements and it can summon both Earth and Life elements. So let's check what combination and cards that can be included in the Earth Team from the Life team to increase the strength of the Earth team or vice versa.
I feel the Earth team is a little weak in ranged attack and if it is combined with "Zyriel" and "Anarchon Bolter" repair ability can nicely gel with the healing team of Earth.
The "Runemancer Florre" is a strong card to be in any team and I feel "Goblin Psychic" is a nice tank healer with a nice set of abilities.
There are 2 more dual summoners "Prunda Undervesch" and "Dolfar Darflak", I will review them later on, and I also feel that players will come up with some really strong and innovative strategies. With no bots in modern, it will be going the test of skills and judgment in rebellion.
