From theory to reality: in recent times, two interstellar object visited us

Until 2017, their existence was just a theory, but today we know they really exist: I'm talking about interstellar objectsasteroids and comets coming from outer space, which are not orbiting around the Sun, not disturbed by it. Formerly aliens. Come, change their orbit due to the Sun, leave. They has hyperbolic orbits, very irregular, which allow them not to be tangled up by the gravitational pull of the Sun or any of the other pulls, especially Jupiter's. 

 

'Oumuamua

This asteroids was the first interstellar object to be discover, in 2017. This discover set a problem with denomination: the UAI must found a new method of denomination for this kind of objects and a name: so the official name is 1I/'Oumuamua. "1" for "First", "I" for "Interstellar", "'Oumuamua" honoring the language of islands where the telescope that discovered it is built. Infact, in hawaiian, this word means "messenger that comes from afar". Officially it was discover the 19th of October 2017. In July 2019, scientists reported that it has "purely natural origins". 2I/Borisov

Unlike 'Oumuamua, Borisov is a comet, official the first interstellar comet and the second interstellar object discovered. It's not bound to the Sun tto, exactly as 'Oumuamua. It has been discovered by Gennadiy Borisov on 30th of August 2019, but it shows up well only on the 5th of January of 2020. A kind of "Christmas shooting star", but just for the period we could seen it. The factor that classifies it as interstellar is the eccentricity value: 3,36, the highest ever found!
