The cold winter has returned, but there was also some sunshine

Monday wasn't a surprise; it was very wintry and frosty, but the sun came out during the day and warmed up to -4 degrees Celsius. There was no wind and a bit of sunshine, making it a perfect day for a walk.

Poniedziałek nie zaskoczył, był bardzo zimowy i mroźny, ale w ciągu dnia pojawiło się słońce i ociepliło się do minus 4 stopni. Nie było wiatru, a do tego odrobina słońca, i dzień stał się idealny na spacer.

As usual, the first part of the walk ended with feeding the flying crew. Jackdaws, sparrows, and tits arrived. Eventually, crows and a jay arrived. That was it. After yesterday's fast, they all looked eager for a good meal. And they got it.

Pierwsza część spaceru jak zwykle skończyła się na karmieniu latającej ekipy. Przybyły kawki, wróble i sikorki. Z czasem dotarły wrony i sójka. Czyli w komplecie. Po wczorajszym poście, wszystkie wyglądały na spragnione dobrego jedzenia. I to dostały.

The walk ended, of course, at the pond, where I didn't see a single angler. Perhaps they were spooked by last week's thaw and stopped exploring the ice?

Koniec spaceru oczywiście nastąpiła nad stawem, na którym nie widziałem ani jednego wędkarza. Czyżby wystraszyli się zeszłotygodniowej odwilży i zaprzestali penetracji tafli lodowej?
