Last night, we got a little snow, and it turned wintry. While it wasn't a huge amount, with only about 5 cm of snow, there was a slight frost during the day.

Wczoraj w nocy dosypało trochę śniegu i zrobiło się zimowo. Co prawda nie są to jakieś powalające ilości, bo warstwa śniegu to raptem około 5 cm, ale pojawił się lekki mróz również w ciągu dnia.

Of course, this winter is a far cry from the winters I remember from my childhood, when the ice on the pond reached 80 cm thick and the daytime temperature hovered around -10-15 degrees Celsius. Currently, the pond hasn't completely frozen over, so this winter was simply a thaw years ago.

Oczywiście daleko tej zimie do zim które pamiętam z dzieciństwa, gdy tafla lodu na stawie sięgała 80 cm, a w ciągu dnia mróz oscylował w przedziale minus 10 minus 15 stopni. Obecnie staw nie zamarzł w całości, więc taka zima, to była lata temu po prostu odwilż.

A bit of sunshine appeared today, so there were more birds. There were tits, jackdaws, crows, and a young jay stealing nuts from smaller birds. Unfortunately, the sparrows haven't appeared for a few days. I don't know if they've changed feeders?

Pojawiło się dzisiaj trochę słońca, więc i ptaków było więcej. Były sikorki, kawki, wrony i młoda sójka, która podkrada orzeszki mniejszym ptakom. Niestety nie pojawiają się od paru dni wróbelki. Nie wiem czy zmieniły jadłodajnię?
