Greetings and Salutations!

I've recently landed in the PublishOx world. This post is my first and an introduction.

My name is Rob, and I'm an artist based in the Chicago area and specializing in acrylic paintings. Pre-COVID, much of my time was spent driving around the USA attending pop-culture conventions and selling art. COVID shut down most of my income sources, but I adapted and found a way to survive financially. However, on November 22, 2020, I experienced a ruptured aneurysm and hemorrhagic stroke. My life changed forever in a day. Due to the quick actions of my significant other, and the talented medical professionals, from EMTS on up to Neurosurgeons, I am healing from the incident with minimal cognitive deficiencies.

How does this connect to crypto? Well, one of the deficiencies I have, is that a 6th nerve of one of my eyes was "stunned" by the aneurysm. 6th nerve palsy, as its known. resulted in me having double vision. Double vision for an artist, coupled with extreme neuro fatigue made it very difficult to create art.  

I was able, however,  to spend copious amounts of time surfing the web, reading Facebook, etc on my google pixel 2 which I held one inch from my face to minimize the double vision. I stumbled upon the Gamestop saga on the WallStreetBets subreddit, and ultimately lead to dogecoin. From there I began to do more research on cryptocurrency and Decentralized Finance and became enthralled. 

I hope to use this blog to discuss things important to me, including #art #aneurysms #cats and #crypto .

Well that's about the extent of energy I have available for now (neurofatigue is a bitch.) Ill Leave you with a picture of one of my cats, his name is Wash.
