Coinbase Card will be available in US

Coinbase is launching its Visa debit card in the U.S. early next year.

Starting today, customers in the US can join the waitlist for Coinbase Card, a Visa® debit card that allows crypto to be used for payments and purchases online and in-store as well as for ATM cash withdrawals.

Eligible customers can apply via the Coinbase app. Customers will be approved this winter. Once customers are approved, they can spend with a virtual card right away and will receive a physical card in the mail within two weeks.

The card is alredy available for customers in 30 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.

The card will come with a new rewards feature, a cashbackback of 4% of every purchase in Stellar (XLM) or 1% in BTC

US customers will be able to manage their cards through a dedicated app, spending part of their savings in any cryptocurrencies that Coinbase supports.

Spend crypto everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, worldwide: Coinbase Card holders can spend directly from their Coinbase accounts without having to move funds to their bank accounts. Cryptocurrency is converted to US dollars prior to completing purchases and ATM withdrawals.
Earn up to 4% back in crypto rewards: Earn rewards using cryptocurrency through daily spending. At launch, customers can opt to earn 4% back in Stellar Lumens (XLM) or 1% back in Bitcoin (BTC).
Seamless card management: Manage spending and rewards preferences directly through the Coinbase app. Customers can opt to spend stablecoins like USD Coin or other specific cryptocurrencies with the touch of a button.
