In recent years, the Internet has become the most popular source of information. This is quite natural, since searching for data on the web is convenient, simple and takes much less time than going to the library, reading newspaper archives or even watching TV. In connection with the constant development of Internet technologies, a positive public opinion has formed in society about the usefulness of the Internet, and the expansion of its technical capabilities and audience has led to the emergence of many information services and resources. Searching for information via the Internet has become the prerogative of not only ordinary users, but also government officials, businessmen and commercial organizations. After all, timely receipt of information can bring considerable profit and tangible benefits. Communication with customers and consumers, affordable advertising in front of a potential audience, all this has opened up a lot of opportunities for both consumers and information distributors.
However, sooner or later, every user faces one inevitable question. Can you trust the information that is published on the Internet? It is not only possible, but necessary, to control the reliability of the information obtained as a result of the search. It would be too stupid and naive to trust everything that is written on the network, because the Internet is a free access zone, and absolutely everyone can take part in its filling.
Reliability is something that shows the quality of information, reflects its completeness and accuracy. Since only those information that correspond to reality are reliable, the skill of checking the received data and determining the degree of their reliability is very important. If you master this skill, then you can avoid all sorts of misinformation traps.
Controlling the reliability of information is extremely important. Facts are the first thing a person encounters when he receives some information that is new to him. They are already validated. If the information has not been verified or it cannot be done, then it does not contain facts in itself. These include numbers, events, names, dates. Also a fact is that which can be measured, confirmed, touched or listed. Most often, sociological and research institutes, agencies specializing in statistics, etc. have the opportunity to present them. The main feature that distinguishes a fact and an assessment of the reliability of information is the objectivity of the former. Evaluation is always a reflection of someone's subjective view or emotional attitude, and also calls for certain actions.
Today, the traditional way of verifying online content, i.e. through knowledge-based “manual” fact checking, is becoming difficult or nearly impossible due to the vast amount of information that is created online and spreads rapidly. This is especially evident in the case of the Internet and social networks, where users can freely share content that can go viral in just a few hours. Thus, there is a need to evaluate information on the virality of a huge amount of data in a limited time mode, to find the original source of information.
Exorde is a web3 protocol that allows developers to collect and link all public data on the web. This protocol collects all possible information from articles, videos, audio, social networks, in a word from all places where there is at least some minimal data. And at the output we get data that connects all similar facts. Thus, the goal of the project is to find the original source of viral information in its original form, before this information becomes viral. And then the person himself decides whether to trust the information received or not.
In our project, the artificial intelligence module will allow us to recognize objects in the text, extract sentences, facts, compare them with each other and perform similarity checks. This approach will make the joint work of participants and artificial intelligence the most effective, will allow tracking relevant and fresh information received by the network, and form a more objective opinion.
