Until that time, until we entered the age of information technology, the Internet and social networks, censorship was the prerogative of the state and the ruling parties. And as we all know and remember, society has always, for the most part, tried to express its opinion in any way possible and stood up for the freedom of information flows. But now the emphasis on this issue has shifted slightly in the other direction. Now issues of censorship have fallen into the hands of social networks, they are even able to block the personal accounts of politicians, famous and media personalities, including candidates for the post of heads of state. Yes, of course, the authorities still can and use the same leverage, but basically the reins of government have been given to the Internet giants. As a result, we got such a Freken Bok, which became the overseer of the Kids, that is, us.

The Internet giants, having such power, are recruiting a huge staff of staff who are engaged in content moderation. Just think about this figure - 15,000 people on Facebook are engaged in moderation. And they have artificial intelligence modules to help them, which evaluate posts that seem suspicious and malicious to them. In just three months of the US election race, artificial intelligence with moderators removed and blocked 120,000 publications, YouTube - 11.4 million videos with 2.1 billion comments (according to The Economist magazine). Of course, a number of publications, posts and comments deserved this deletion, but is that all?

And let's briefly think about what artificial intelligence is. This is an algorithm, this is the ability of a digital computer to perform many tasks from the real world associated with sentient beings. Artificial intelligence is at the intersection of many sciences and fields of knowledge, such as mathematics, statistics, probability theory, physics, machine learning, psychology, and linguistics. In general, it is very difficult. But the most important thing that we need to understand from this is that artificial intelligence is not able to recognize irony, joke, sarcasm, second meaning, subtext. He cannot give preference to anyone, he is neutral. Or rather, he will do it in the way that the developers programmed him, set the task. On the one hand, this is good. Artificial intelligence recognizes fakes, manipulations, malicious content, knows and recognizes black and white. But in most cases, any disputes that may arise on the network are emotions and artificial intelligence does not recognize them. A randomly spoken word can send us to a ban, a page can be blocked or content can be deleted.

And it turns out that progress, on the one hand, helps to develop technologies, and on the other hand, limits us in expressing freedom of speech. But in every state, in every country, freedom of speech and self-expression is one of the basic concepts that is recognized by law for each of us. We have the right to receive reliable information, to form our own opinion, regardless of whether it is true or we are mistaken. Even the desire to be a fool is my right if I so desire.

So how can we avoid censorship, moderation of our content, and surveillance by social media personnel and artificial intelligence? Solcial is a social network that will be released soon. A network where you can avoid censorship, surveillance and not feel like a Kid in front of the evil and terrible Freken Bok. Because this network is free, decentralized and where you will be in charge, and not the site that provides you with a page.
