Tongues - Part Four (A Poem A Day #21)

IV

In these unbound moments
Magicians cast spells by gesture
Liquid moves harmonic
Hair shines in sunlight
Rain dapples concrete
Wind moves leaves in curls like fire
Whispers through weeping willows
Where children play
Scales glitter as
A fish twists its tail
Treasure in depth
Under the night sky
Possessions become abstract
As the heart of a candle
A tapestry, a song
In perfect pitch and full flight
A visible yet distant shore
Gulls cry to the rhythm of the waves
Halos of the full moon
Luminous gardens
Inside, the smell of jasmine and lotus.
