Following on the heels of last week's final distribution of the remaining tokens from the first Optimism airdrop, today Optimism announced on X that airdrop #3 is now underway.

The most important thing to note is that you DO NOT need to do anything to claim this airdrop - if you qualify, you will receive your drop automatically. So please do not click any links that instruct you to claim Optimism airdrop #3 - they're scams.

Eligibility for the third airdrop relied mainly on the delegation of OP tokens. (You can read the full announcement explaining the details.) But essentially, users who delegated at least the minimum amount of OP tokens qualified for this round, and there was a bonus if the delegator voted at least once during the qualifying time period.

Distribution began today, September 18th.

In regards to cut-off criteria, "addresses with fewer than 18,000 OP Delegated x Days; (or 9,000 if delegated to a voting delegate) were not eligible for this airdrop," and "addresses who were delegated for <7 days were not eligible." In addition, "known delegation program wallets were not eligible for this airdrop." (Source: Optimism Docs)

Each reward option had a maximum reward of 10,000 OP per address.

Again, this airdrop is being distributed directly to qualifying addresses - you do not need to do anything to claim. So sit back, keep an eye on your wallet, and enjoy the fruits of your delegating power!
