11/08/22 UPDATE: Added monthly withdrawal screenshots and changed average BAT earned
There are over 4 billion people in the world that spend an average of 6 hours per day online. People can now have that time monetized by using the Brave browser. Brave is a privacy oriented browser that automatically blocks trackers, ads, and has a built-in VPN. On top of all that, you can also earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) while using the Brave browser. By allowing ads to occasionally pop up, you’re awarded with BAT tokens. This is a completely optional feature and you can opt out of receiving ads, but you won’t be getting any rewards. As of this writing, 1 BAT is worth ~$0.29 USD. The ads that appear show up on the top right on MacOS users, bottom right on Window users, and top of the screen for Linux users, all as push notifications.
With the Brave browser, content creators can earn BAT by being a verified creator. Brave users can tip content creators directly from the browser manually or with an automated option. Verifying your twitter, reddit, YouTube, or your own website is another way of earning income by receiving tips from Brave users.
As of right now I get on average 9 BAT per month. It’s not much, but it’s a very unique way of earning some crypto and the price of the token fluctuates. When paired with Presearch or Bing Rewards, you can increase earnings, both of which I will write about in the future.
