What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I wish you all an amazing weekend and hope you all are doing well in your life and enjoying the day with your loved ones. For us splinterlands players, the next 2 days will be hard as that’s what is left for this ongoing splinterlands ranked season to meet its end. This is as usual high time for most of us players where some will try their level best to enter their goal league or tier and some it will be to secure a spot in the league’s leaderboard they are playing right now. For me, I am playing in the Diamond League as usual and currently fighting for a glorious spot in the Diamond League leaderboard. However, the season seems to getting even harder for me as even after playing like a maniac since yesterday, I haven’t been able to reach the first spot and currently sitting at 2nd spot with a current trophy count of 4,253. As for season reward chests, the last 2 days of extensive playing did help me to boost my reward chest count and till now, I have succeeded to collect a total of 91 season reward chests for this ranked season and almost near the next one.
But, only less than 2 days remain right now for this season as I am writing this post and also my energy bar is near 0, I am thinking of not playing any more and instead recharging my energy bar back to a healthy position and be ready for the next season's start. And for the daily focus mission, today I got the Exploits rule as my focus mission which I won't count as my favorite rule, but as I played for a while, bought 24 extra energies and used them as well to play even more, I have collected a whooping 22 focus chests even without focusing on the ruleset and will be opening them Tomorrow morning. Anyways, thou I spent a total of 7,350 DEC to buy 49 energies in the last 2 days, I also did earn some extra SPS and more reward chests so I will be close to being even with my investment while excluding any possible rewards if I won from the leaderboard. Not to mention that I also enjoyed playing every bit of it and spent some quality time battling against the OG players.
Last day, I begin to play with a full 50 energy bar and after finishing it, I again used DEC to buy extra 25 energy and used them all up as well. But even after playing over 75 matches, I couldn't reach my goal as the player currently at the top ranking has a huge trophy count and not playing anymore. Today also, I used all existing energies once again and then went to recharge another 24 energies and used that too with the hope that I would claim the top spot. But destiny has written something else for me this time and even after battling so much, the best I did is securing the second top spot today. As I told above that I purchased a bag of energies this season so that I can play even more to reach the top position in the leaderboard and also used another bunch of DEC to rent in some great untamed set cards that I am missing in my account, I will be at a loss if I don't win something from the lb. But I need not worry as the amount of extra SPS and reward chests that I am getting for overplaying will help me balance this in the long term, even if I don't win anything. Currently, I am sitting at the 2nd spot in Diamond lb and the prize for this position is 80k DEC. I am crossing my fingers tight now and won't be playing anymore until the season end or unless I lose the spot. Let’s see how it goes as we have only 1 day and a couple of hours left for this ranked season to meet its end, but at this crucial point, nothing is certain as there are hundreds of serious players playing right now with high card collection, so anything can happen even during the last hours.
On the other hand, I have done another achievement just recently and staked over a total of 100k SPS in my in-game wallet. This is pretty huge for me and was a long waited goal to be accomplished. Most of the amount here I gained organically by staking the initial SPS that I got from the airdrop and then from playing the game and re-staking all my staking rewards back into the wallet. I am really happy to finally make a 7 figure number in my SPS stake as I was literally staking and counting every bit of it since I crossed 95k SPS. For those who didn't know, SPS stands for splintershards and it is the in-game reward token and also the governance token of the splinterlands game having a large amount of SPS staked has a set of benefits. First of all, a good amount of sSPS will generate a passive income for you if you have staked it in the in-game wallet. For rewards you will be getting liquid SPS and Vouchers (another token in splinterlands) and currently, staking SPS generates more rewards at around 16% APR right now (including SPS and Vouchers) which is pretty good to me. But not only that, with the recent update that got introduced in the game, the more SPS players stake in their in-game wallet, the more SPS rewards they will be earning from ranked matches. As I am playing in Diamond I with more than 100k SPS staked, I am earning 4 - 5.5 SPS per ranked match win which is almost double what I was earning before this update got kicked in the game. No without a doubt, staking SPS does brings more benefits right now. As SPS is still being sold for only 0.021$ and near its all-time low value which was 0.016$, I still think that buying SPS at this count can be very beneficial from a medium to long-term perspective. I would encourage you even more if you are a daily player for the reason to stake as much SPS as you can to farm even more rewards through playing ranked.
