Bitfinex one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange through its blog announced the rejection of an amended class action lawsuit filed against them, Tether and other exchanges.

The General Counsel for Bitfinex, Stuart Hoegner in response to the allegations deems it unture and baseless. He said:

"Even after taking three full months to amend their complaint, the plaintiffs' allegations remain untethered to either the facts or the law. They conflate perceived correlation with causation in an effort to prop up theories that are untrue and unsupportable."

Plaintiff claims Bitfinex, Tether and other exchanges should be held accountable for the recent market manipulations and filled an updated lawsuit in the Southern District of New York two days ago.

Hoegner added:

"If you see a group of people opening umbrellas, that doesn't mean that they caused it to rain."
